Your “I’ve Seen That Look Before” Tuesday Open Thread

Here, let’s relive it again, in video:

and gif form:

Oh, that’s the pure stuff. JUST PUT IT INTO MY VEINS!!! Kris Jenkins is a stone cold killer – never mind the shot, the pose of him watching it go in is magnificent. It’s a murderer watching a victim die and savouring their pain, and ensures he’ll never have to buy a beer in Philly again. Like most murderers.

Now we get to watch UNC go on athletic probation, without the satisfaction of the national title to warm those cold January evenings. It’ll be third Christmas for people like King Hippo.

FACTY FACTOIDS THAT MAY ONLY INTEREST NO ONE: According to ESPN, only 2.56% of all brackets had Villanova winning it all. According to Skip Bayless, there should have been co-national champions. According to me, that’s why I stay off ESPN’s website.

The women’s final game is tonight. UConn goes for a four-peat tonight against Syracuse. This contest won’t be able to catch that lightning-in-a-bottle like last night’s men’s championship game, because the seeming inevitability of the Huskies achieving the superfecta takes the wind out of the sails of anticipation. Although it would be kinda nice knowing that the Syracuse ladies succeeded where Jim Boeheim didn’t.

Actual Football News:

So Twitter is going to livestream games. Jeez – Deion is barely intelligible now; just imagine him trying to follow along with tweets every play. It’ll read like the last words a Cosby victim hears before the drugs take effect.

Aldon Smith has signed a two-year deal with the Raiders. So, I’m setting the over/under at 10 games played total over those two years.

Denver is considering either Dak Prescott or Paxton Lynch as a QB selection in the draft. One key factor will be whether the whiteness of their name will appeal to the Director of Football Operations – one hoof for yes; two hooves for no. Also important: how might Mark Sanchez ruin them?

And do with it what they will

In the “for fuck’s sake!” department, Rog is considering expanding the playoffs again, with two more wildcard teams to play the second-highest finishers, leaving only the Conference champions with a bye. Purists will argue tradition; owners will accept the buckets of money.

Politics: Speaking of entitled millionaires, there’s a primary tonight in Wisconsin. It matters because, after the Colorado one this weekend, there isn’t another until New York on April 19th. Cruz & Sanders are favored to win; the betting’s on how big the margin, and what ridiculous thing Trump will say after losing.

TV: I know it’s been touched upon, but how maddening was “The Walking Dead” finale? It’s guaranteed a hate-watch audience when it returns in October. But, it’s also guaranteed that a lot of people will switch right back to the “Sunday Night Football” broadcast once they find out who was killed. (psst – it was Glenn) But Jeffrey Dean Morgan – he was born to be Negan.

Just look at this handsome maniac.

Speaking of baseball bats, THE GAMES!

NHL: (11 games total)

Here’s 90% of why the Caps are #1.
  • Islanders @ Capitals – 7:00
  • Carolina @ Boston – 7:00
  • Lightning @ Rangers – 7:30
  • Sharks @ Wild – 8:00

NBA: (11 games total)

  • Hornets @ Raptors – 7:30
  • Bulls @ Grizzlies – 8:00
  • Spurs @ Jazz – 9:00
  • T-Wolves @ Warriors – 10:30

NCAA: Women’s Final – Syracuse vs UConn – 8:30

Baseball: I’m sure the Jays are on in Canada.

I wonder if anyone last night played as high as Gary McLain in 1985. WHO YA GOT?!

Over at Upforwhatever, someone posted a few hours ago this STRONG TAEK:

“Brandon Stroud is a rapist that Uproxx refuses to fire. He is a violator and thats why he was fired from his other job. You’ll never hear him talk about Inspire Pro Wrestling again do you wonder why that is?”

STRONG.

Trolls throwing out rape accusations now? That’s a little extreme.

Porky Prime

Hi there! Just checking in with the continuing Life Fucks Porky update. Who had “Mother in Law has heart attack” in the pool? Anyone? Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ.

The beat goes on. Thankfully she’s alive and still determined to go to California in 2 days for my wife’s West Coast memorial, and incredibly, the doctor cleared her to travel!

On a positive note, I got to hear Vin Scully call the Dodgers opener. So at least one thing is still constant.

I probably just cursed Vin to fall down an elevator shaft, didn’t I?

theeWeeBabySeamus

Jeebus dude. I seriously don’t know what to say other than happy to hear that it sounds like docs think she’s OK enough to travel.
Hang in there.

Porky Prime

I’m just rolling with the thunder, Weebs. I did have the pleasure of observing my baby daughter discover a vanilla bean frapp today, which immediately turned her into Gollum.

WCS

I step out for a bit, and this is what I miss..

Holy piss, Porky. I sincerely wish I had the ability to come up with better words, but, I don’t. Glad see mom-in-law is healthy enough to travel. I’m glad to see you here, pal, I’m really sorry for what you’re having to deal with, and if you need anything, please let us know.

Glad to hear your MIL is doing OK. We need to buy Porky n expensive bottle of Maclallan

You have my sympathy… and a sad trombone image of a Dodger Dog for consolation.

Wow that blows, dude. We’re here for the zero to little we can help. I hope the memorial is a fitting tribute to your beloved wife.

Take heart Warriors fans. It’ll be Niners season soon enough.

Croooow

It’s an even year, the Giants will probably get back to the World Series.

Covalent Blonde

Come on, Giants! Fuck knows it ain’t gonna be the Sharks this year or the Niners this decade!

Me and OJ a true story.

So after OJ was found not guilty and was on the quest to find the “real killers” my previous girlfriend “The Crazy Redhead” and I made a trip to Jamaica. This was around 2003- ish? We met OJ at the bar at the “Breezes” resort in Runaway Bay Jamaica.
He was a very confident and striking person. We had some cocktails, he had just finished up a round of 18 holes of research and was in need of refreshment.

I said “OJ. I used to watch you run at USC and then for the Bills and then……..”

He said “I know I know, It’s cool.”

As we walked away the Crazy Redhead said “I can’t believe I shook hands with a murderer!”

I ushered her out quickly.

He was charming in his own way. Plus he knew my old hometown.
Very odd.

Senor Weaselo

It’s a good thing he didn’t know your current hometown at the time or else you and the Crazy Redhead may have been in some trouble.

theeWeeBabySeamus

Did you have to repeatedly kick Kato off your couch for like a year after that or what?

laserguru

The good news is he did another 18 holes the next day just to make sure he didn’t miss anything.

I will swear in court that these things really happened.

I think he was drinking Hummingbirds.

So this is my friend’s story about his very tipsy, very-upper-middle-class, ultra-WASPY wife in Tahoe upon seeing her favorite basketball player, Sir Charles, who stops by their table to say hi to my friend. Wife says to Charles (after some blubbering about her adoration for him), “My dog is named Barkley after you” to which the Round Mound of Rebound replied, “Yeah, but a lot of people have a dog named Barkley.” She retorts, “But mine is big and black and beautiful!!! Just like you!!!”

Now whenever I see Charles Barkley I reflect that he had to remain polite and friendly during this whole drunken exchange and it makes me like him just a bit more.

Moose -The End Is Well Nigh

Can we write off the bar at the “Breezes” resort in Runaway Bay Jamaica as where the real killer(s) were?

Senor Weaselo

While we’re talking about the basketed balls, here’s the greatest basketball song in history. I like the rhyming of “Dirk Nowitski” with “Dirk Nowitski.”
