Going 80’s. I knew this song well before I had any state mandated sex-ed.
I started getting an allowance when I was 5. The first thing I bought? A Polaroid camera. The second thing? Columbia house. I had this shit on tape.

I’m pretty sure this is 2000, but I’ve always had a thing about the 20s, and despite swing not really being 20s, it’s a descendant, and I can Charleston like a mofo. So yeah, I hopped on the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers popularity. Saw BBVD for free in Ballmer. The opening band was awful, but a car caught on fire in the parking lot adjacent, so we all stood on the seats in Pier 6 to watch it burn. I remember the bass player of BBVD being really hot, but I was pretty far away, so who knows.
