Blech, the Turkey Day schedule Gods are much kinder.
At least one can wake up to the Premiership again, and to a classic North London Derby, 3rd position Spurs v. 6th position Arsenal (7:30, NBCSN). 4 points separate the sides in the table, and the Gooners look capable of getting back into the top 4 conversation of late. Herein lies a nice test of that Lesser Footy hypothesis.
Leicester and runaway freight train Man City are the featured 10:00 window match (NBCSN), with everything else on NBC Gold. The best of those being Liverpool/Soton, but I will trudge through all grim 90 minutes of Palace/Everton. No, we still don’t have a bloody permanent manager. Yes, it does look like Watford’s Marco Silva wants to jump ship for some reason and join our merry band.
United host the Barcodes for big NBC’s 12:30 spotlight dance, and we can all root for England’s version of the Unabomber.
Only one lousy Sunday match, 9th position Watford v. 18th position West Ham (under new manager David Fucking Moyes). I am actually betting on Moyes here (+275 to win outright!) given that the Moose Hornets have to be unsettled with all the rumours swirling around their manager. They are a bit loose at the back anyway, which is what Moyes is good at exploiting. Your Hippo tip o’ the week.
Virginia at Miami (Noon, ABC)
How do you spell “trap game?” No, nobody asked you, U*NC. Though maybe it’s high time I quit being so Cane-skeptical (I did bet $100 on them +7 v. the Tiggers in the Title match).
Michigan at Wisconsin (Noon, Fox)
Both these teams play ugly and hurt my very soul.
TCU at Texas Tech (Noon, FS1)
Much more watchable, and Bloodeyes could either be super-pissed, or emotionally spent after their Boomer Sooner disappoint.
Kentucky at Georgia (3:30, CBS)
Did you know UK is 7-3? NO SHIT! Speaking of shit and UK…expect theirs to get pushed in by a pack of angry Dawgs.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State (3:30, ESPN2)
Oh, I could TOTES see Undead Bill Snyder pulling this one off, even as a 19.5 point road dog. Couldn’t you?
Arizona at Oregon (7:00, PAC12)
I’m not sure any defensing will be allowed in this here match, and the last O/U I saw was 70. That’s madness, yo.
Texas A&M at Ole Miss (7:00, ESPN)
Told ya…slim pickins this weekend. Think the Aggies show up for this one and take Johnny Reb to school (and he ain’t like that place).
UCLA at USC (8:00, ABC)
Uh…watch two Top 10 NFL Draft pick QBs play, surrounded by oceans of merde?
Cal at Stanford (8:00, Fox)
Enjoyable historical rivalry, and can expect the Trees to play down to their competition coming off the big upset win over Washington.
Utah at Washington (10:30, ESPN)
Perhaps Team Secular Big Love can keep it close for awhile, and give us something for our tweakers and Best Coasters. Meh, what an underwhelming day.
