Well, I’m back from vacation. Two weeks in Scotland, with visits to six distilleries & one round of golf at Carnoustie. I hope to create a “Boots on the Ground” about the whole thing, but first I have to remember how WordPress works.

Here’s a fun way to get your wife upset on vacation:

Scottish Bartender: What’ll you have?

BGR: A pint, and a cider, please.

BGR: Actually, we’re Canadian.

I am currently eating a BK double in my car after my gig because the Elevation Burger closed at 9, we got out at 9:30, I knew it was still open, and the only thing I ate during the three minutes I had to shovel food in my mouth during the mid-cocktail hour break was a piece of over cooked ribeye, some rice, and a bite of what I thought was going to be a nice light flaky biscuit but was some other crap.

There’s a very interesting essay out there by Umberto Eco regarding the popularity of Casablanca-his argument is that the movie embraced shit-tons of cliches and that’s why it has been so popular.

/that same argument doesn’t hold the least bit of water as far as “Touch of Evil” is concerned

You know, I’m okay with him defending Trump (because that’s his job as his attorney and you’re supposed to put forth the same effort for all clients, guilty or innocent), but seeing how Rudy Giuliani defends Trump and what he says makes me wish he would’ve lost control of NY City after the 9/11 Attacks and his poor leadership during the crisis would’ve caused the city to descend into a Old Testament cesspool of rioting, death, despair and doom.

So basically the city would’ve stayed the same, but Rudy wouldn’t have left office in ’01 in near-mythical herodom.
