NFL News:

• The NFL is considering the possibility the California teams may not play in-state to start the season.
  • It all depends on state & county “stay at home” orders.
    • There is speculation that the LA teams might go to Vegas.
      • There are only two dates that conflict between the three schedules, and would require a move to Monday night.
    • The Niners would likely go to Arizona.
      • Both for geographical & bureaucratic expediency, as Washington state is still undecided about its large-gatherings rules.
        • Plus the AZ governor today announced pro sports can resume without fans starting May 16.
  • And Florida’s governor announced today that his state would be willing to accept any teams that can’t play in their own territory.

• On the Rams, they broke out their new jerseys today.
  • They use a colour of white called “bone” for their road kit, and their home & alternate jersey has classic colours plus numbers that shade from yellow to white.
  • The logo is also the helmet, so they are really keeping it.

• The court battle over Oliver Luck’s firing just got more interesting.
  • In response to his initial filing over wrongful termination, Vince McMahon’s attorneys said he fired Luck “for cause”.
    • Their filing provides three examples of what his side alleges was a failure to follow “multiple” XFL policies and directives:
      • Gross neglect, by relocating from the XFL’s Connecticut offices to his home office in Indiana.
        • In doing so, they allege Luck failed to “devote substantially all of his business time to his XFL duties as required by the contract.”
      • Luck signed a player McMahon specifically forbade the league from signing.
      • Luck used an XFL-issued cell phone for personal use.
  • Luck’s legal response will come late-Wednesday or on Thursday.
