NFL Nuggets:

• Ryan Leaf was arrested on domestic battery charges in Palm Desert on Friday – just FOUR MILES from my mom’s house! 
  • Given that ESPN has the coverage on it’s front page, I’m guessing his analyst’s job is now available for hire.
  • It’s not known what specifically happened, as the holiday weekend has suspended all court operations, but his booking sheet notes it’s Misdemeanor battery on a spouse or partner, and the bail was set at $5000.
    • He is due in court at 8:00AM on Wednesday, so maybe we find out then.

It’s Memorial Day, so you just know that that means exploiting the memory of Pat Tillman.

• The NFL Network and nfl.com are replaying “A deep dive into the legacy of Pat Tillman, 15 years later.”
• The NY Post & other FOX outlets have a piece on how “NFL star-turned-war hero Pat Tillman epitomizes Memorial Day“.
• The LA Times & its affiliates are noting “Pat Tillman’s sacrifice underscores the importance of Memorial Day“.
• PFT has a solemn perspective that Memorial Day should be an opportunity for Americans to reprioritize what should be important versus what has become important.

They’re all a poignant reminder that it’s never over unless marketing says it is.

Tonight, it’s Circus Workers versus the Travel Industry. “Frequent flyers versus Freaks”; what could go wrong?

I wish they had follow-up episodes where Guy, or Geek, La Douche showed up at their place of employment to check on a dude’s “ruptured groin” and such. Watching the translation of how she explained to her colleagues there was “a party in my mouth” would be worth the effort.
