Fall is coming as are my roller coaster of emotions during the NFL season. Can’t wait.

Last year the Iggles came out of the gates with a 10-1 record, if you watched any of the games they were not convincing in any way, shape or form. They were frauds, and the last six, nay seven games of the season showed their true coloUrs. Normally I expect the worst and it did indeed happened.

In last year’s preview I had them at 11-6 but had the season ass backwards as I had them 5-4 early and then turn it on at the end of the year. Close enough.

Let’s look at the offseason.

D’Andre Swift left to the Bearistocrats and was replaced with Saquon Barkley. That is an upgrade until Je ne Saquon blows his leg in week 8. The Eagles O line has been superb these last years and it’s the main reason they can plug in any rb and be successful. I’m hyped by this signing, along the lines of when the Iggles signed Alshon Jeffery. I do plan to draft him in most FF leagues if he is available, so Lowratio league here I come.

Howie re-signed Brown and Smith at wr so that’s solid work, and they added Dotson in this past week so the signing of Parris Campbell is trash as is custom.

The question mark for me has always been Jalen Hurts, I was a doubter, but still not have come full circle enough to believe in him. Howie has done a great job bringing in solid players so I am sure he brought in a class backup. He brought in Kenny Pickett, Jesus tapdancing Christ that’s brutal. If Hurts goes down the Eagles are truly screwed. They’ve also had to replace the best centRe in the game when Kelce retired. This makes the pickup of Saquon is even more important as the tush push hinged all on Kelce’s reads.

On defense they brought back Gardner-Johnson, drafted Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper Dejean. Forever the Eagles secondary has been 1 solid guy and 3 others that they picked up at Home Depot on the way to the game. Slay is the one guy right now but he is getting long in the tooth, so replacements were needed. They also drafted Jeremiah Trotter’s son so if you didn’t think you were old, you are.

As is custom let’s go through the schedule game by game.

September 6 v Green Bay in Sao Paolo (home game) : NFL made a good choice having these two teams at this stadium.

In an appearance on former NFL star Chris Long’s “Green Light” podcast, Jacobs revealed that he and his fellow competitors had been informed that they should not wear green during their time in Sao Paulo, as it is a color allegedly affiliated with gang activity.

It’s also due to the coloUr of futbol teams and the stadium where they’re playing. It’s ok though because South Americans aren’t completely unhinged about any nuance of football. Someone is going to die at this game or around the stadium.

I’m hoping here so I’ll give them a W

September 16 v Atlanta : I think that the Falcons will be much better this season and their division is trash. I could see them winning the division as the Bucs with Baker at qb are always a question mark, who knows what the ‘Aints are going to be and the best thing about Carolina is their crazy rich owner. Will I draft Kyle Pitts for what seems like the 13th time? More than likely. This game against the Falcons will come down to the defense, if the secondary holds and as it is in Philly then I think that this will be a W Take the over.

September 22 at Saints: I believe that the Saints are going to be trash this year and I hate Taysom Hill. W

September 29 at Buccaneers: Revenge game for the playoffs last year! Will the Eagles get it? No. Someone important on offense will get hurt which may upend the season and make Sirianni’s seat even hotter. L

Week 5 BYE : Will player X be out long term? How poorly did Nick adjust after the injury? Will he be fired midseason?

October 13 vs Browns: The massage aficionado comes to town, free handies for everyone! The Browns are going to be very dangerous this season and will compete for the division title. Personally I hope Captain Helicopter dick gets hurt so we get to see Jameis again. I love Winston, he is corny and fun and would be much happier had he signed with Philly instead of Pickett.      L Sirianni’s seat gets fiery.

October 20 at Giants: Two game losing streak and a 3-2 record. What will fix it? Danny Dimes! Can we agree that he is the worst starting qb in the league?Saquon will rush for 200 here as an absolute fuck you to the Mara’s. This is the perfect time to get the Giants and the Eagles will get right. W

October 27 at Bengals: I like Skyline Chili which has been noted in the past. I’d like to go to an FC Cincinnati game. I used to love watching the Rijo and Dibble Reds. Mrs. Cola cheers for the Bengals. Burrow is the real deal. Akili Smith ex Stampeder! What I’m saying is that the Eagles and my fandom have a lot going against them in this one L.

November 3 vs Jaguars: Normally I’d go crazy against the Khan’s due to them also owning Mighty Whitey Fulham FC. However this year Wrasslin Tony has done great work in what basically is his second job in West London. I’m biased against the Jags and always think that they will suck. W

November 10 at Cowboys: Nothing to say here, it’s always an L, and will continue to be an L.

November 14 vs Commanders: The Eagles would be sitting at 5-3 at this point and that seems right to me. They’ll have lost to the Cowboys and probably are in second at this point. The Eagles will need to win this one to be in the mix for the division as their next to games are on the road against tough competition. Jayden Daniels looks good however he doesn’t slide when he runs/scrambles and I reckon at this point he will be RGIII’d. Dotson revenge game so bet on him getting a TD because either Smith or Brown are still injured. W

November 24 at Rams: I never know what to make of this team. Who saw Puka coming? I sure as hell didn’t. McVay is the real deal while Sirianni is not. This one will come down to coaching and the egde is definitely in St. Louis SonofSpamland. Ahead of my fantasy draft this coming weekend is Kyren Williams a flash in the pan or is he the real deal? L

December 1 at Ravens: In Fozzland, I would assume that this could be flexed to a night game if the Eagles defense and coaching were any better. All I know about Baltimore is Fozz rage, The Wire, the only CFL Coupe Grey won in the US, Old Bay, and a missing Arsenal flag. It’s an 8 hour drive from Cinci to Baltimore which makes me think that I should make that trip someday. How would Old Bay change Skyline chili? Let’s find out. Derrick Henry is still a beast and will run all over the Iggles. L

December 8 vs Panthers : This will be a W. David Tepper is a psycho. I need more content from him. Buying his rivals house and bulldozing it, throwing a drink at a fan, taking the bar owners hat off due to a defamatory sign, he plays the rich guy hits. His team has been shit since he bought it and now that Snyder is gone from DC he is the worst owner in the league.

December 15 vs Steelers : They could have Pickett back as from all reports the QB battle between Russ and the kick returner has not gone well. I’m sure Pickens will react reasonably on a weekly basis as he has such composure. The Steelers are going to get the shit kicked out of them this year by their division mates as I believe that they are in the best division in football. This is at home and the Eagles will roll. W

December 22 at Commanders : Eagles would be 8 and 6 at this point. Divisional games to go two at home and one on the road. This record seems perfect for a Sirianni coached team with some sprinkling of Pickett throughout. Washington is not ready yet and this will be a learning season for them. W

December 29 vs Cowboys: This could be the biggest game of the season and this will be the reason that Sirianni gets fired in the offseason. I see them losing this game while still being able to get in the playoffs where they will fall flat on their faces again. L

January 5 vs Giants:  This game could mean seeding in the NFC so they will show up for Sirianni to get false hope. The Giants are awful and the Eagles will roll them. Total record 10-7 and that sounds right. W
