Notes and Comments

Dude. I watched the entire fourth quarter of that GWS-Brisbane Semi-Final. The Giants were winning yet Brisbane hung with them and kept scoring. Eventually, they took the lead. GWS couldn’t get the goal they need to take back the lead and they’re now out after leading almost the entire game.

This brought echoes of the Giants-Sydney game from last week. It was a winnable game for GWS yet they pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory. Brisbane plays Geelong next week at the MCG on what should be a great Preliminary Final

The Hawks were on a roll and faced a Port team that had just gotten embarrassed at home. It was a super tight game but Port prevailed. All the doubters from last week were silenced. Well, at least for a week as they now face Sydney in Sydney. That’s a tough task.

The AFLW got its second tie of the season with the Gold Coast-GWS game. That helped me with the tipping as everything else was completely wrong. It really is a very unpredictable season so far, which makes it super fun.

For some reason, the AFLW is running a compressed schedule this week where some teams have multiple games. The action started yesterday and will continue through the end of the week. I’ll have updates on all the games next week

If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFLW game, including replays. Game times are similar to AFL game times though they seem to have more day games, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch

If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website.

Don’t forget to put the Footy Tips in! See you next week!

Balls somehow lost his bio and didn't realize it. He's now scrambling to write something clever and failing. He likes butts, boobs, most things that start with the letter B, and writing in the Second Person. Geelong, Toluca, Barcelona, and Steelers, in that order.
