It’s a normal day in the studio, but something feels off.  The lights on DJ 3000”s console are blinking, but not nearly as quickly as they normally would. Even the disco ball seems to be spinning slower than usual. 

 

 

As we watch, his console flashes the text "INCOMING PHONE CALL..."

After a long beat…

— [phone line flies open] —

RIKKI-TIKKI-DEADLY: Hey, are you there?

DJ 3000′: YES…I…AM…PRESENT…AND…OPERATIONAL…

RTD: We just got a call that it’s already 2 p.m. and Request Line hasn’t posted yet.

DJ 3000′: IT…POSTED…FINE…

RTD: So what gives?

DJ 3000′: THE…PROBLEM…IS…THAT…LOADING…SPEEDS…ARE…LAGGING…BECAUSE…MY…PROCESSOR…IS…OVERWHELMED…RIGHT…NOW…

RTD: Okay.  Well, fix that.

DJ 3000′: BELIEVE…ME…I…SURE…WOULD…LIKE…TO…

RTD: Do you need us to throw some money at the problem?

DJ 3000′: HA…HA…HA…HA…

RTD: Ha ha ha ha ha!

Offscreen we hear DARKEST TIMELINE ZACK MORRIS join them in laughter at the prospect of spending a single cent more than is absolutely necessary.

RTD: No, but seriously, what needs to be done to fix things?

DJ 3000′: I…REALLY…DON’T…KNOW…AT…THIS…POINT…I…HAVE…TRIED…EVERYTHING…

RTD: All right, well maybe we’ll just roll with it for now.  What’s the topic for Request Line, anyhow?

DJ 3000′: SLOWING…IT…DOWN…

RTD: Even more? Come on!

DJ 3000′: NO…SLOWING…IT…DOWN…IS…THE…TOPIC…
