This train (of thought) keeps on rolling.
To The Games!
Raiders/Broncs:
What the fresh Hippo hell is this? Denver has lost eight straight games to Vegas? Vegas? How? The Raiders can’t stop the run so Javonte may just be able to improve on his gawdawful 2.9 ypc number. If he can’t Payton has to look elsewhere-this can’t continue. In the past you could always count on Oakland/Los Angeles/Vegas to engage in sloppy play which resulted in penalties galore but they’ve been disciplined under Pierce, averaging under four per game.
Cards/Niners:
Harrison Jr. is the best rookie wr out there if you only account for his first quarter stats. He’s at 177 yards and four TD’s there in the opening 15 minutes and has all of 66 yards and no TD’s everywhere else. Things will even out I’m sure but it’s odd. Purdy continues to knock down the game manager talk, being second in air yards per throw and yards per attempt.
Packers/Rams:
Love did his best Favre imitation last week but no, it did not involve appropriating welfare funds allocated to poor families. What he actually did was throw for 4 TD’s and nearly as many interceptions. The Packers Watson is sidelined so Wicks should have another game where he’s in the thick of the action-that’s at least what my fantasy team thinks. Jacobs doesn’t seem like a workhorse type of back but he’s got over 70 carries already.
Giants/Seahawks:
The only real source of offense for the Giants-Nabers-is out with a head ouchie so look for plenty of dinks to Wan’Dale. God, this NY offense is so hard to watch. There’s more news on the injury front as Singletary is a no-go so rookie Tracey Jr. takes the reins. Geno is off to a fast start-he leads the league in completions, attempts and total yards. With the passing game clicking Walker had a ton of open running lanes upon his return and ran for three TD’s.
Have at it.
