Free agency – hungover from the weekend edition.
It sure seems like everybody in charge binge-drank last week, because the signing news today sure seems like someone is holding my hair while I puke:
- The day’s highlight is Eric Weddle signing with the Ravens, in their attempt to have a more hirsute, less-stabby defense.
- B.J. Raji announced he’s taking a “hiatus” for 2016. His body actually started it in Week 12 last year, but his brain only just caught up to the fact.
- In “John Elway’s going to have an aneurysm” department:
- The Broncos believe Kaep is only worth a fourth rounder, which will make it even funnier when the Browns overpay for him, because…
- Mark Sanchez says his goal is to be the Broncos starter, and that’s what led him to sign in Denver
- Speaking of Browns QBs, meet one of their future draft choices, Dak Prescott
- Brandon Weeden visited the Dolphins on the weekend. His goal to play a game for every team by 2020 looks on pace.
Oh goody – the “Competition Committee” is meeting to discuss ways to further protect the QB in the pocket. Expect moar “Brady Face” after every touch this season.
Politics:
“Super Tuesday Three: Last Stand” is tomorrow. Will we say “goodbye” to Kasich & Rubio, or will we get our fever dream of a Republican convention & civil war? I wonder how many of Trump’s delegates are on no-fly lists.
Question: If Cleveland catches fire, does that help or hurt the Browns?
Did you know Bernie Sanders went to court to get 17 year-olds who’ll be eligible to vote on Tuesday, November 8 eligible to vote in the Primary? And he won! Teenagers – feelin’ the Bern! (Insert prom VD joke here.) Hillary has to hope their moms come out to vote for her.
Finally, Big Daddy Drew had a pretty good response to whether John Cena should run for President:

I have watched no College Basketball this year, but this post has inspired me to fill out a bracket based solely on who has the hottest woman/women on the first page of a google search I define later that will remain uniform throughout the process. Don’t know if I will have time today. Hope I do.
This is as good as any other method, maybe better than most.

Went to the store to pick up a pie late at night or pie day. The only thing that looked good and was surprisingly fresh, was apple pie. So I had an apple pie a la mode (butter pecan ice cream) for round pie day. It was delicious.
I also just signed up for the DFO bracket. As someone who didn’t follow the NCAA basketball and wanted to pick the Hoyas because their logo is adorable (what do you mean they didn’t make the tournament this year!?!) I full expect to win this tournament. . . or be out of contention by round 2.
/picked the finals score to be 96-69. Giggity.

I don’t know if aNyone brought this up, but a new deal.between the NIL and the NFLPA would essentially strip Goodell of disciplinary power over on-field incidents, and create a tribunal to mete out the wildly uneven punishments to players.
They want this tribunal to be composed of lawyers or former judges with a football background. WE have lawyers. LOTS of them. And I think our blog here could count as “football experience,” so do you know I’m thinking?
These idiots are coming one step closer to our work-repeated wish for DFO to run the NIL, even if for just a weekend.
That would be “oft-repeated,” and NFL at the end there.

DFO WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD
HECTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shut the front door!!!!!!!!!
Piss on a stick, indeed.
Love the way they’re developing backstories from BB. I’m really hoping now that Danny Trejo/Tortuga ends up showing up. Always loved Danny Trejo.

Agreed. When Hector walked in, I was ridiculously happy. The slow construction of the entire Breaking Bad universe is being done so very cleverly and it’s nice seeing how a lot of the characters interacted previously.
Also, I’m sort of hoping we get a glimpse of a semi-sociopathic Teenage Todd one of these seasons.
Sorry….he’s a butcher in Minnesooooota now.
OK Then.
Maybe that UFO did something more interesting than look for parking, and it made Todd younger, more awkward, and somehow related to more racist pricks than he knew even in Minnesota.
This guy is likely to appear at some point. I mean, he probably needs the work anyway.
