DFO Radio: Things Are Not What They Seem

This Friday, Mark Davis finally pulled off the mask and let us get a glimpse of the dark mastermind that’s been hiding behind his “earnest simpleton” facade for the last five years as he took the Raiders from an annual laughingstock to a genuine contender and pulled more public money out of a host city than has ever been done before.  It’s kind of like the NFL pulled off one last big heist before having to close the door on the relocation gravy train.

Speaking of things not being quite what they seem, did you happen to catch the season 3 premiere of Rick and Morty?  Holy shit.  I mean, damn.  They’ve played around with the “Inception” concept and the “Simulation Within a Simulation” concepts before, but it really was quite an astonishing episode.  I’m a little put off by fellow fans trying to read too much into the show’s long-term arc – a show doesn’t need to be serialized to be good (re: The Simpsons, Futurama, South Park before they tried out serializing things even though the serialized stuff was okay too) – but it really DID do a fine job dealing with last season’s cliffhanger ending.  It’s still my favorite show on television, that’s for sure.

Completely unrelated to [DOOR FLIES OPEN], I’ve got an Android product that’s going into beta testing this week. While I’ll be shamelessly abusing any and all microphones I can get my hands on to shill for it when it launches, I’d like to invite any Commentists who have tablets to sign up for the beta and give me some pantsless feedback.  Sign up here.  [borrows shotgun from Marquette King, points it at ground in front of Commentariat] Only if you want to, though.  No pressure.

On to the tunes!  Here’s the Spotify link, here’s the Youtube version:

FWIW, I enjoyed this theme more than any in a long while, RTD.
Thanks for this.

Brilliantly, Davis has plans to build enough locker room space for 32 teams to relocate to LV.

PK has the same idea but what if it was in Wichita?

Low Commander of the Super Soldiers

Man, this move to Vegas is really letting the Raiders upgrade their weaponry.

I am thankful that no one in the Commentist Party will ever rob me of my pants though.

See, you say that. But two words…Vegas.
