- The charge is theft of property over $300,000.
- Wilfork’s two Super Bowl rings and two AFC championship rings he won with the Patriots, along with a college championship ring from his career at Miami, were among the stolen jewelry.
- Wilfork discovered they were missing from his Texas home in May 2020 but didn’t report them as stolen because he thought they might have been in storage at his Florida home.
- He found out what happened when a Patriots fan contacted him because he bought them off the son for $62,000.
- Most of it has been recovered, and is sitting safely in storage down at the police station.

Oh, I finally cracked open those ancient bottles from Unibroue tonight with a friend.
The Grand Reserve 17 (dark ale) had gone flat. Not bad flavor, but not something either of us wanted to drink. I saved the rest of the bottle and might try making a sauce out of it.
The Ephemere (white ale with apple and coriander) was quite nice. Sort of like a good dry cider, though still recognizably a beer. I don’t know if the age of the bottle made a difference — it’s been a long time since I had one of these, and I don’t think they make it any more.
Sorry to hear that the GR went flat. The cork probably leaked. Would probably make some good Flemish carbonade though (although that is really more of a fall/winter dish)
Glad the Ephemere came though OK. I imagine it was nicely attenuated.
