Hello there fellow DFO’er.  Hope you’re well today.  And thanks for coming back to see last weeks comments of the week as decided by my brain.  There’s no reason as to why some comments make it and others don’t. Seriously. There isn’t.

So, like others here, Mrs. Decision and I took “Half time adjustment” to Kingston on Friday night for 4th year, and “Pre-Snap Audible” to Guelph for 1st year on Saturday, so are now empty nesters. As it’s only been a few days, not sure how this is all going to play out, but after a summer of 4 drivers and 2 vehicles, it’s kinda strange to have access to a car whenever I want it and not need 1000 texts to figure out who’s going where and when. Also, the yeah right comment about having whatever you want for dinner is already hitting home, as we grilled burgers on Sunday and then some chicken on Monday for dinner.

As a reminder, Sunday comments stand alone and Monday comments will go on the next week’s post.

Note that during the offseason, I’ll probably look at the Sunday posts.

I gotta say, watching someone do something they’ve loved but haven’t gotten to do in too long is a joy. Which is to say watching Senorita Weaselo, a hotshot swimmer throughout her school days, be in a pool for the first time in what has to be almost 10 years was a wonderful sight.

Even if it kept us from going to the Six Flags literally across the street from the hotel. (Though in fairness it looks kinda meh and she wants to take me to Great Adventure.)

Empty Nest Update:

The oldest is on his way to Kingston, the younger lad is in Quebec with his camper. The wifey swam out to the middle of the lake with me, asked me to make her a massive sandwich (a thing I did for the boys) and insisted that we have a bonfire later. It’s not a perfect transition but I couldn’t hope for better.
