I always try to lead with the football in my posts but tonight things are a bit different. The Senators haven’t been in the postseason in one dog year and things are lining up quite nicely. (must be absolutely horrible to be a Red Wings fan, if anyone would admit to it) Ok, fine, I’ll do an NFL thingy
-Such a Nice Boy: Baker Mayfield took 1st round wr pick Emeka Egbuka and his family out for a lovely brunch recently. That passes for ‘news’ on the WWL? I would note that no one seems to be talking about Tampa’s wr room. Of course there’s Evans’ remarkable consistency and Godwin’s reliability (after he comes back) but what about the TD machine that Jalen McMillan turned into during the last 5 games of the season when there was no choice but to lean on him? (he produced 7 TD’s in that time) And now they’ve got a consensus top 3 ball-catcher to add to the mix?
-I think one of the things that we Canadians have brought to this site is just how HATED the Leafs are up here. I think I’ve mentioned it before but I’d liken it to the Yankees, Lakers or Dodgers being the lead story in every single market every day. That’s all well and good for that minority of all sports fans, for the rest of us it’s a wee bit oppressive. So the possibility of the Leafs collapsing (again) to my fave team that hasn’t reached the playoffs in forever is a glorious notion.
-EVERY Leafs reporter is asking Toronto players if they feel any pressure given the number of collapses the team has experienced.
-The Leafs are 1-13 in potential close-out games during the Austin Matthews Era. Anyone remember the Nuggets Alex English? No? He was a regular season compiler just like Matthews.
-They are 1 for 31 on the power play during those games.
-Sens goalie Ullmark has a scorching .952 save percentage over the last two games.
/I’ve obviously jinxed Ottawa but oh well…
Old ladies at IHOP having Pepsi with breakfast just disappoints me.
Ugh. Yeah, I just don’t get that.
Pretty good week to be an Angels, Kings, and Lakers fan.
See y’all tomorrow.
Trouble sleeping again so…. here’s a joke.
How many perverts does it take to change a lightbulb?
This should be good
Just one. But it takes the whole emergency room to get it out.
The gas company at the scene of the carbon monoxide leak has their latest reading over 1000 parts-per-million.
800 ppm and up can and will kill a human in less than two hours. Those Yinzers are lucky their alarm worked. My shriveled, stale husk of a heart managed to desiccate more.
That own goal was the game winner. Ouch.
Brutal. But they’re still alive and at home.
Who do you think feels worse? The defenseman trying to clear the puck that hit Blackwood, or Blackwood who was in a good spot defensively but was in no way expecting a puck being shot at him, then bouncing into the net?
Definitely the guy clearing the puck. He had a lot of open ice to shot at, and only one tiny piece of ice where his own teammate was standing.
Regardless, both are going to be up a little late tonight replaying that sequence in their minds.
We got our first Game 7 guaranteed!
Woo!
Three dogs dead from a carbon monoxide leak.
I can’t even come up with a Simpsons or Sunny gif.
Downvote this.
Sorry man, shoulda been humans.
Poor puppers.
FD that arrived first is requesting animal breathing equipment. Maybe there’s some hope?
Awww… Sad news. Poor puppers…
At least a carbon monoxide poisoning death is rather peaceful & painless. From what I gather, you just fall asleep and don’t wake up.
That (and getting shot by a jealous husband) seems like a good way to go.
lol, own goal
What an awful own goal right there.
With his shoulder!?
As a fan of DEFENSE and the left wing lock I am hereby BOYCOTTING these games tonight. Get it together, GUYS
Fuck off, Jacques Lemaire.
Found Jacques Lemaire’s burner.
great, (and possibly slightly buzzed) minds think alike.
Yes (and also yes)
Oh well done.
Hey all you Kings bashers, just you wait until the greatest comeback ever happens, and you’ll all be sorry!
/runs crying into the bedroom
Dallas Colorado is clearly the game to watch. 4-4 now.
I mean, Edmonton-LA isn’t exactly not insane.
#2Screens
Both Edmonton’s and LA’s commitment to leaving shooters wide-open in the middle of the ice and 15′ in front of their keepers is really impressive.
