Request Line: Take It to the Bridge!

INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY

Once again, all the lights are…wait, it turns out the lights are actually on this week.  Though, as usual, it remains completely silent.  DJ 3000′ boots up…

…to realize that the studio is empty.

DJ 3000′: HEY…WHERE’D HE GO?

Via an impressive visualization [.mp4 file not found] we watch as DJ 3000′ scans through video feeds of various places that HUNTER RENFROW might be found – the webcam on the laptop in his bedroom, one of the closed-circuit cameras in the Audio/Visual room at Soscatee High School, the security cameras at the Joystick Junction arcade – all to no avail.  Eventually, DJ 3000′ sighs and uses his modem to dial up HUNTER RENFROW’S cellphone number.

HUNTER RENFROW: Hey man what’s up?

DJ 3000′: WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU? REQUEST LINE GOES LIVE IN TWO MINUTES!

HUNTER RENFROW: I’m in London!

DJ 3000′: LONDON? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN LONDON?

HUNTER RENFROW: It’s the Soscatee High School class trip! You knew this, I put a shared event on our calendar months ago!

DJ 3000′: [displays shared calendar; event is not shown] OH REALLY?

HUNTER RENFROW: Oh.

DJ 3000′: “OH” WHAT?

HUNTER RENFROW: I just realized that I would have shared the event with the original DJ 3000.

A small amount of steam comes out of DJ 3000’s rear cooling vents. 

HUNTER RENFROW: I’m really sorry.

DJ 3000′: IT’S FINE.

HUNTER RENFROW: Really? You say that, but…it doesn’t sound fine.

DJ 3000′: JUST GIVE ME A TOPIC.

HUNTER RENFROW: [looks around wildly, pans camera]

HUNTER RENFROW: Aha! Let’s do bridges.

DJ 3000′: ALL RIGHT.  IT’S A LITTLE THIN, THOUGH.

HUNTER RENFROW: …and the things they cross!

DJ 3000′: COOL. I’LL GET US ROLLING.  TALK TO YOU WHEN YOU’RE BACK.
