Notes and Comments

The game was super close and tense for the first two quarters. At half time, the scores were tied and almost every single statistical category was also tied. It was a true arm wrestle.

Things stayed that way until around halfway into the third quarter when Brisbane started getting a little more possession in the attacking zone. This led to more opportunities and eventually to scores that were not answered.

The game was still within reach at the start of the fourth for Geelong but a couple of quick Brisbane scores blew the lead out to unreachable levels. Geelong did get some late scores to make the final margin seem more respectable, but it was all Brisbane.

Brisbane has now won their fifth Premiership this century, which would be the most among all teams, and is back to back champions. A third Premiership next year would put them in elite company.

The Tipping Pool was won by Sharky last week as he got the Geelong pick correct! A Gently-Used Fleshlight is on its way! Only BC Dick picked the Grand Final correctly.

If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.

If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.

The AFLW is still going strong, so you should be able to watch the matches using the Watch AFL app and the cable networks! So, there’s a few more weeks of footy left!

Balls somehow lost his bio and didn't realize it. He's now scrambling to write something clever and failing. He likes butts, boobs, most things that start with the letter B, and writing in the Second Person. Geelong, Toluca, Barcelona, and Steelers, in that order.

What I wanna know is how much trash talk will happen between litre and BC_Dick based on the standings, tho, they both got the same games right but with a different tie breaker

BC Dick

I did get the final, though

Brisbane the 2001-20 Patriots of AFL?
I asked for the Grand Final to be on a TV, but they couldn’t find FS2.
Congrats to Sharky, eeking that out. I recommend a fair amount of industrial bleach when your package arrives.

I’m hearing the name, “Peyton Wilson” increasingly more each week. He’s starting to get the “lunch pail, always working, loves the game” adulation the Peter Kings love about Caucasian athletes lacking ligaments. Hippo was right, as I expected him to be. Yinzers love their great, white linebackers.

Sure, that was GREAT HUSTLE on that 4th qtr play to chase down Addison, but is he scrappy enough?

(or is scraptitude a quality only valued in white slot receivers?)

Arm wrestle is an interesting term given that Jezza fractured his arm in game and kept playing.

Hats off to the Lions, they played brilliantly all game long, really poured it on in the second half.
