Wumbo Wednesday With Weaselo: Back At It!

Which is to say today is Day 4 of gig days. Break’s over and we’re back, baby! Complete with:

-The F at MetLife Stadium’s light is out. That’s what happens when you legally have to be called New York New Jersey Stadium for a month.

-Phantom Limb Syndrome, or the stepping into a building and remembering it as it was equivalent.

-MTV’s Dan Cortese (not really)

But yeah, the second one is particularly weird. A hotel we occasionally play remodeled and rebranded and the look of the inside is totally different. Not sure if I like it but that’s beside the point. The point is it’s different and weird and this concept confuses and irritates me!

So yeah, there’s that. Anyway, is there news? I mean, the usual start of training camp “aaaaand people are hurt already.”

CAR rookie WR Chris Brazzell II: Moderate LCL tear (8 weeks)

NO DT Bryan Bresee: ACL (season)

CIN DE Shemar Stewart: Carted off with a left leg injury (not ideal)

The meat grinder. It begins and it comes for us all.

Oh, and you figured I was going to have a Bills “Nickel City” critique? It’s… meh. It feels like the 2010s evolution of what Uni Watch (pour one out) originally called BFBS (black for black’s sake), GFGS, gray for gray’s sake. And after a quick lookup, the whole thing is a buffalo nickel joke.

Would have been funnier if they’d been to and lost five straight Super Bowls.

Okay, it’s word count and I have yet another gig. Enjoy the sports!

Just toss this out there like it means nothing at all.
GOD DAMN IT!!

yeah right

Operation “Extract youngest right from Seattle” is in full swing.

Just waiting on the last group of movers to make it happen.

Can’t wait until she gets to her home in San Diego.

I may be caretaker for a very cool kitty for awhile too and I’m cool with that.

Rikki-Tikki-Deadly

I like Seattle fine but San Diego is definitely an upgrade.

yeah right

It’s also her home and everything she cares about is there.

She had a once in a lifetime opportunity that fell to shit because of the tech layoffs.

Her life was interrupted is all.

She will regroup and rebuild.

I have all the faith in that girl.

Bogdanski

If she’s in biotech in SD, let me know, I may have some recs

Recently came across these Australian comics. The bald guy as a double-talking apologist for every faulty government policy-it’s brilliant.

Crazy to think that this one is now older than the children that our President molested.

Just a brief glance at the front page of Yahoo news while logging in to my fantasy football account made me want to crawl into a hole and projectile vomit until the hole is full and I float back out again.

We’ll see if I come up with something better later but for now I’m called “Be My Little Vraby”.

That’s a good one!

In Calgary, there was a nonverbal autistic boy named Parker who went missing on July 16. I’ve been looking for him since before the Amber Alert. I’ve been searching while dealing with both a viral and bacterial infection. The wildfire smoke has also triggered my asthma, and just getting through each day has been hard. Unfortunately, they found his body today.

I searched near where I thought he might have entered the culvert, but I didn’t see that entrance. If I had, I would have searched there or asked someone to check it.

I am beyond devastated. I can’t stop crying in my office cubicle long enough to drive home. Today is not a good day.

BrettFavresColonoscopy

Sorry, buddy. Good on you for helping with the search.

scotchnaut

You can’t fault yourself (although it’s far too easy) when you’ve done the best you could under the circumstances.

Fronkenshteen

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through all this at once. I hope you feel better soon, man.

litre_cola

deci_litre has been crying since he got home. The community really looked fucking everywhere for the poor boy.

SonOfSpam

Man, I’m sorry and also proud of you. But really sorry.

yeah right

You are incredible for putting in the effort.

It’s sad and horrible how it turned out but you did everything you could.

It’s also very OK to be sad and hurt.

You’re a good human to have those feelings.

Bogdanski

You’re a good man, Wakezilla

scotchnaut

Head’s up to the Freezer Vodka Commish-if you give me the 1st overall pick I’ll draft Tank Dell.*

*that kid needs some solid Canadian support

ballsofsteelandfury

I can rig the election! Uh, I mean the draft!

Which is your team again?

scotchnaut

“Hobo Help Line”*

*subject to change though
