Monday Night is alright for B-Ball. Your Monday evening Open Thread.

Most of you good folks must dread this time of year. We’re mighty damn close to having baseball being the only sport in town.

Tonight is game 5 of the NBA finals and it’s been a hell of a good series. Odd thing is the series has been great but the games have been crap, if that makes sense. I’ll record this thing and watch it in it’s entirety when I get home from work.

See that banner photo up there? That’s a real damn place right here in my hometown of San Pedro. I used to take my girls there and shoot hoops with them. You do NOT want to shoot an air-ball here, trust me. That hill in the background rolls all the damn way down to Paseo Del Mar and all you’re gonna get out of it is a lost ball and probably a car accident. The view is pretty killer though. That’s Catalina in the background.

I remember seeing this court used on one of those “Inspirational Posters” that were all the goddamn rage back around the turn of the century.

Fucking hell we had those all over our corporate HQ and I was never once “Inspired” to do anything except maybe vomit once or twice

Got some baseball things going tonight as well if you’re so inclined. Fuck it, man use Google or some damn thing. I’m here to cover not to cater towards.

Speaking of covering, our usual Monday night host the esteemed Don T should be back to host next week. He was waylaid by a wandering horde of Caribbean Pirates and we’re working tirelessly behind the scenes to come up with enough gold doubloons and Puerto Rican rum to cover his ransom.
