Brevity is also the nature of the Open Thread. My agenda for the holiday weekend is thus:

  • Today – drive to Whistler with relatives. Find bar.
  • Saturday – whale watching tour with relatives. Hit bar upon return to dry land.
  • Sunday – niece’s birthday party. Five-pin bowling. Beer in plastic cups.
  • Victoria Day – FINALLY see “Captain America” at Cineplex that serves beer.

As you can see, the consistent theme for the weekend is “family”, and the drinking they cause. At least someone else will be behind the wheel, so I can imbibe with (relative) impunity.

Tonight’s sole playoff action: NHL: Penguins @ Lightning – 8:00 (Game 4; Penguins lead 2-1)

I can always send it back with layers & notes that you can go through. Photoshop is pretty opaque sometimes, and I’ve found step-by-step intros & tutorials to be a big help.

It was a better quality scan overall, at least. I’m working on two more right now…one is Olive Borden in the ’20s & she’s wearing heavy eye shadow, so now I have to figure out what color that would be in that era…

Yes, but I’ve have better luck with, what is? The zone tool? I have an old version of Elements. Might help if I updated too.

With something like that, you can use an enhancement layer, and then a masking layer on top of that to mask out anything you need. So you could pop the greens on one layer, mask out the sky, then pop the sky on another layer and mask the green.
