I’ve got a nerve thing going on in my left arm/hand which started this summer during my cross country drive. It’s really rather stupid….it’s from resting my left elbow on the door frame and driving for days and days and days….more or less. But…..It’s not getting better unfortunately….drumming and golf make it worse more often than not….soooooo…..

Basically, half my left hand is numb always….about half the time with a lot of pain. Drums, golf….usually don’t help the pain part.
I’m assuming no PT can fix it? That really sucks if that’s the case

I’m not a doctor, but isn’t part of therapy on a sort of sliding scale type deal where insurance will on cover it if its getting better?
speculation aside, if its not degenerative, I wonder if there’s a good chance it will get better with enough time to heal.
anecdotal story: my pop’s had a bad shoulder, damaged labrum or such, and had no time for professional therapy. after what he described as about a two year period, he was able to start feeling pain free simply by going out of his way by putting stress on it. sleeping yadda yadda…
long story short: recovery is may be possible if you keep at it.
*avoid putting stress on it* like gradually increasing it, but over an absurdly long time.
Yep, I stretch it thru the shoulder elbow during sleep. Work it to try to get feeling back. Some days are better. It might get better some….I’m hopeful. But having a medical background/education…..I know better than to expect much at this point, 6 months out. The odds are….well….it’s not likely. And that’s OK.

Ok guys, I feel the need to share this. If you’re in the market for a new grill, be it charcoal or gas, don’t dick around and just scrape enough together to buy a Weber. I went with the cheaper units for years and they never lasted, nor did they work the way I wanted even before they fell apart. I finally crow-barred my wallet open enough to get a Weber Spirit, which is their “economy” line (still pretty pricey), and even though it’s smaller it blows away anything else I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried ’em all. My GO PORK LOIN…OF DESTINY!!!! has never been better.
End of gratuitous but uncompensated plug.
I got tired of buying cheap ones so I went with charcoal only for years. I finally broke down and got a Weber gas last year and it’s pretty great. You don’t get the same taste or high heat as you do with charcoal, but holy shit is it way more convenient and easier to control.
