Well, two teams I expected to sputter and fade have instead blitzkrieged through the tourney’s early rounds.  Hopefully, they will at least put on an enjoyable clinic of offensery this evening.

#4W West By God Virginia v. #1W Gonzaga (7:39, TBS)

All I ever needed to know about ESPN’s “BPI” metric is that it gives the ‘Zags the best chance at advancing to the Final Four of any of the sides (like 48%).  Uh, sure, ok.  Expect The King of Track Suits (and Sometimes REI Tents as Mumus) to run train on the media narrative this evening.

#4MW Purdue v. #1MW Kansas (9:39, CBS)

You won’t watch any of this game.  It will be complete and utter shit.  Of course, I’ve underestimated the Boilermakers all along, but still…it ends in ugly fashion tonite.

#11W Xavier v. #2W Arizona (10:09, TBS)

Feel teh soap opera dramatics!!  Sean Miller takes on the place he left FOAR the desert!!  Though to be fair, everyone leaves X but Chris Mack.  Based on the run of play, this could be an excellent, hard fought game that will have you cursing your alarm clock more than usual come Friday morn.
