NFL

Were you aware that the NFL has done away with the traditional Home/Away uniform distinctions?  Yep, the Nike contract.  All 32 NFL teams apparently have four uniform choices this year, but aside from each team’s uniform “contrasting” with the opposition’s, other home/away requirements have been done away with.  Might look weird in some cases.

But before you think that’s the NFL (or Nike) softening, it’s not.  It’s marketing.  In fact, the penalties for breaking the uniform “code” seem to have only increased.  And of course, Cleveland is never happy about anything.  But then again, why would they be?  It’s Cleveland.

Oh, and this guy will be a free man in a little over two months.  You better watch your step, real killer.  He’s gonna be looking for you.  Especially if you have any sports memorabilia which he thinks belongs to him.  What a turd of a human being.

Speaking of turds….

Ron Goldman’s father, Fred, and his sister, Kim, join “CBS This Morning” for their first interview since Simpson was granted parole Thursday.

“CBS This Morning” co-host Norah O’Donnell asked if Simpson’s successful parole hearing is just another example of him getting away with a crime.

“For me the answer is yes, but then obviously we’re a little biased. I’m troubled that he’s out free getting a second chance. Something that Ron didn’t get. I would prefer to see him back in jail. Simple as that. I don’t think he is worthy of the right to be out amongst decent people,” Fred said.

FWIW, Fred, I do agree with you in principle.  But THIS case has nothing to do with you or your family.  But hey, at least you got on TV again.  Right?  I LOL’d at “….first interview since Simpson was granted parole.”   Yeah, it took ’em a whole what….12 hours?  Repeat after me, Fred….   “No Comment, my family and I would just like to live our lives“.

The baseball itself is still pretty sucky.  But the trade deadline is approaching so that’s what everyone is talking about.  Do you care?  Me neither.  Unless the Orioles trade Zach Britton, Darren O’Day or Brad Brach.  Then I’ll care…and will also be pissed.  Unless they also find a way to ship out…… Ubaldoooooo!!!!!!
