Back on January 3rd, in the Open Thread, we discussed the 15 Hall of Fame finalists:
- Tony Boselli,
- Isaac Bruce,
Brian Dawkins,- Alan Faneca,
- Steve Hutchinson,
- Joe Jacoby,
- Edgerrin James,
- Ty Law,
- Ray Lewis,
- John Lynch,
- Kevin Mawae,
- Randy Moss,
- Terrell Owens,
- Brian Urlacher,
- Everson Walls.
and made our picks as to whom should get in. To recap those who ‘volunteered’:
| Beerguyrob | Lewis | Dawkins | Faneca | Moss | Law |

| Spanky | Boselli | Dawkins | Faneca | Jacoby | Walls |

| King Hippo | Boselli | Dawkins | Owens | Moss | Walls |
Of the eight groupings, there are some fairly consistent choices.
- Randy Moss picked up 7 DFO votes.
- Brian Dawkins was second with 5 votes.
- In a surprise, Terrell Owens & Everson Walls got three votes each.
- Not a surprise, Steve Hutchinson also got three votes.
- Stabby McObstruction only carried two of eight ballots.
It looks like Peter King will have his work cut out for him trying to gerrymander the right nominees into the Hall.
The two “senior finalists” are Robert Brazile & Jerry Kramer. Perhaps you’ve heard Kramer’s been slighted before?

Bobby Beathard is the Contributor nominee.
The winners will be chosen next Saturday afternoon. They need 80% approval from the 48-person Selection Committee. The list of eligible voters is here. If you don’t want to look but want to be angry anyway, certain “at-large” voters include Wichita Pete, Dan Fouts, John Clayton, and something named Clark Judge from Talk of Fame Network and Yahoo Sports Radio.
YOUR TASK TONIGHT is to out-Peter Peter King and make the cromulent case for the five you want to see get in.
The commentist who gets closest to the actual selections wins a reservation in the Acela Quiet Car.
