I just don’t know what to make of this game. All the hot takes regarding Minny’s play last week have been taken so I’ve nothing to add. They gave away two quick TD scores as a result of fumbles deep in their end (as well as a field goal) and just seemed to be rattled and disoriented. Was Everson Griffen’s on-going erratic behavior something that caused the team to (for lack of a better word) stress? Position by position, the Vikes are talented up the ying yang so I expect that things will get back on track but the short turnabout, the travel and the fact that they’re playing a very, very good team doesn’t look promising for their short-term prospects. That said, Theilen and Diggs are facing backup corners all night long so scoring shouldn’t be an issue. I’m at a loss here.
What are you thinking? Should I play Goff? Also, you may want to weigh in on today’s shenanigans in Washington. Do your thing. You tend to do it well.
Today was unfuckingbeleiveable in terms of permanent memories. I will always remember Dr. Ford’s bravery, the end of Lindsay Graham’s political existence, and bart o’kavanaugh pulling aside the prep school curtain forever.

Dumb but true story time.
Back when I was a dumbass NAIA-level college golfer, I took a job at a local muni track, picking up range balls and cleaning carts. There was a family, two little kids and their dad that would come over and putt and chip every night for a few hours. The littlest kid had a great swing for a nine year old and you could tell he really dug the game.
One night I was cleaning carts and he hopped over from the putting green, bouncing a ball on his wedge, “Hey! Can I drive the cart?!”
Me: “You can in a couple years when you can reach the pedals.”
Kid: “Bummer! Hey, do you play golf!”
Me: “Yeah, been playing for about ten years, play for my college team now. How about you?”
Kid: “I SUCK!”
Mr. Inspirational Me: “Well, I see you out here every night practicing. If you keep up that kinda work, some day down the road , you’re gonna be something.”
Kid: “Thanks mister! Can I drive the cart now?”
Me: “You’re still too short, go chip for awhile.”
So I go home to the dorm that night, throw a frozen pizza in the oven and crack a Michelob. I flip on the local news, and there’s that kid on there, bouncing a ball on his wedge, 2-time Junior World Champion and local boy, Tony Finau.
It was a good day to wear an “I’m an asshole” T-shirt.
That’s pretty good.

He’s like 6’6”, so he can definitely reach the pedals now. He’s a damn good kid too, and the last time I talked to him, he actually remembered that from when he was a kid. Hope he kicks ass this weekend.

You’d be surprised. I actually have stopped watching quite a bit. It’s this site that keeps me in the fringes of the game. It’s mostly background whenever there is nothing on (night games)

Yeah, if you don’t really enjoy it and feel like watching is more of an obligation than a joy then stop. I have that same moment with a lot of TV series and really felt that way with fantasy football. OK with my lack of commitment I can feel that way halfway through a movie.
