Well, now that the day’s tilts have a.) made the playoff situation a whole helluva lot clearer or, b.) made the damn playoff situation that much more frickin’ muddier* we can now feast the eyebulbs on an interesting and curious matchup featuring two teams with different approaches to getting the treasured W.
*please pick one-this post was recorded at 10am this morning
TO THE GAME!
Titans/Packers:
-These two teams rank first and third in offensive efficiency but they also have D’s that love to ride the roller coaster. Should be interesting.
-As you might have expected, Aaron Rodgers leads the league in passing yards off play-action. Actually, nope. The Tannyhill possesses that number which is a hefty 1,580.(!) So for sure he leads the league in TD’s off run fakes, right? Again, nope. That belongs to his counterpart Rodgers. He has 18 scores from that play.
-Since 2018 in weeks 14 to 17 Derrick Henry has averaged 6.5 yards per carry. The Packers D ranks 27th in the league at stopping the run, surrendering 4.5 ypc since the start of the season.
-One might think to lay off the Titans wr’s in this spot but Tannyhill has thrown a TD in 11 straight games and has two or more scores in nine of those games.
-Lazard might be your sneaky play in this spot. He finally passed MVS in snap counts and routes run last week, recovering his position in the balls-thrown lineup that he occupied earlier in the season before he got injured. He definitely won’t get the attention that Adams demands.
I’m leaving it all-up to you, down below.
It is raining hard in Los Angeles tonight, and it is beautiful.
Found a funny.

Also, props to Mr. Daly for getting the pronunciation of every guest’s name correct, and being 100% on board with the female plasterers and bridge designers. I know he had advance notice, but still well done
You could write to Univac. What did people write to what was, at the time, the most advanced and inaccessible computer?
I would write to the quantum computer at LANL because I don’t have to do anything. An alternate universe version of me wrote to it for me.
I hate cold. I hate snow. I hate long nights. I hate winter.
Move. Although it may not help as much as you think
I would if I could.
Also, they just had a Senator as the celebrity mystery guest. He disguised his voice, and they guessed who he was, because celebrities were that familiar with members of government back then.
Wow, I didn’t realize that SMOG was a term in the 50’s and there was already a civil servant tasked with managing it at that time
I was a card carrying member of GASP in the late 1960’s. Group against smog and pollution. I remember clearly when the fish were dying in the Great Lakes, and when the Cuyahoga caught on fire in Cleveland. Things are better than they were then, despite efforts to roll back regulations.
The pandemic kind of stole the thunder of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day this past spring. Trump was happy.
This was broadcast in 1955, so while the causes for these environmental effects were certainly going on at the time, not sure if the consequences were well known?
Internet sleuths have tracked down newspaper articles from the 19th century.
They were known, they just figured it was the cost of doing business. We moved out of Pittsburgh to the burbs when I was in 1st grade, partly because my younger brother had asthma from the pollution. My mother, who lived there all of her life, had it too. They knew why people had it, they just hadn’t been forced to come up with any technology to mitigate it yet.
I have relatives in Erie, and they definitely had health effects and knew it was from the mills. I guess my query was more that they didn’t connect it to more long term effects
It’s someone else’s problem.
Worth a click.

I had a really solid, industrial-type pogo stick when I was a kid and it was AMAZING
I was unaware they had industrial purposes. I would like to be in that industry.
it was kind of like this, springs you wouldn’t want to put a finger into type thing
I think I got tetanus just by looking at that spring
Like herpes and Gronk
Oh shit, I guess not.
We’re watching “Bridgerton”. It’s not as sexy as I was led to believe.
Mrs Sharkbait watched a bunch last night. It kinda gets there. At least that’s what I saw as I half paid attention to it.
1900 addition or subtraction operations in just one second! Univac!
The cool thing about watching old shows like that is that you’re watching them literally from The Future! Those people would be totally gobsmacked by things we take for granted.
Like the meteoric decline in girdle sales!
First calculator I ever saw was in 1970, TX instrument, red diodes, add, subtract, multiply, divide, square and square root was all it would do. $450 in 1970 dollars. 5 years later they were giving them away for free if you opened a savings account at the local bank.
We have drinking chocolate. The bottom of the mug was INTENSE.
I had some hot chocolate made with dark Mexican chocolate a few years ago. It was definitely not like Hershey’s!
Hershey’s isn’t even legally allowed to be called chocolate in the EU. (It’s okay in Britain, though).
If you’re thirsty enough, it’s all drinking chocolate.
I think I’m gonna open another bottle of wine, eat my feta bites, and watch more “What’s My Line?”
Oh, this is good. Mystery celebrity Pearl Bailey.
I wish I knew more about NYC theater in the 50s
She was cool.
I poured more rum, so you’re good
Remember when companies used to be named after what they did? Nabisco = National Biscuit Company
Also, UGH, Salvation Army Captain
I may have converted my eldest granddaughter to be thrash metal head and I’ve never felt more proud.
That girl can thump a bass.
Yay for good things 🙂
Gonna win my second consecutive FF title.
Why did I just pop feta cheese/filo appetizer bites in the toaster oven when both the game and my current bottle of wine will be finished before they’re cooked? Poor planning Zymm.
I made oven smores because I was too lazy to toast my marshmallows by the fire. Not any difference as far as I could tell, but just as likely to catch on fire.
Woooooolooollloooooo
Merry Christmas guys, how’s tricks?
Goodness me. How you goin?
Packers are stomping face and I’m drinking a Tom n Jerry. Couldn’t be better, you?
I spent the last hour googling to make a voodoo doll till i realized I don’t own any objects valued by Steffan Diggs
You could try the old “photo of the target under running water trick”, but that takes time to show results
word of mouth is also how guys told each other that the girl from the AT&T commercials got some big ole titties
I’m sorry if this attitude is blatantly sexist, just its distracting
Tig ole bitties
Emerson?
Can you seriously not tell just because she has a button-up shirt on?
Yes.
i spent over two decades thinking the term approximate meant “exact”
NEVER underestimate my abilify to not notice things
Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Cris.
Zymm, this is my new aftopop tune. Figure u’d like.

Sweet! I’ve been in kind of a music rut, what with not leaving the immediate locality and all, appreciate new stuff
Work at home now, am all over the place musically for my whole workday. Afropop is so different and so positive.
I should listen to music while working, it would be nice to be distracted by music instead of by the futility of whatever I’m doing
Even when in the office I wore 1 earbud. I loved my 4 office mates but cant deal with clicky clack from folks in both ears. Plus new music! Language never bothered me. If its good its good.
If I’m really listening to music it takes enough of my concentration that I can’t fully focus on work that requires thought, but I don’t really think that’s any of my work right now. Conversely, if the music is crappy enough that I can multitask effectively, it’s not really worth listening to.
Listen to RPG soundtracks. They legit help when doing menial (work) tasks. The Skyrim soundtrack is a go to for me when I have a bunch of shit to do
This is a solid idea. They’re kinda designed for that aren’t they!
I have a station based on the Westworld soundtrack, that quite often pulls in music from Skyrim, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and another one I can’t remember now. As well as most John Williams movies and some random sci-fi movies. It’s great for background music.
So I find a language I dont understand is easier to work to. I was useless during French alt rock werk as I listened too intently.
Murdering the clogging family directly above you is justifiable homicide.
As the legendary Michael Caine himself said… “There’s only two kinds of people I can’t stand… those who are intolerant of other people’s cultures… and the Dutch.”
Slowly and painfully as possible
The Weaselo family favorite is the neighbors fencing
Wish those two would fatally stab each other at the same time.
Aunts.
the “rat problem” commercial is hilarious though.
I’d rate it as Praiseworthy.
Senor, dm me your address for your prize. Spam, much disappoint.
Sent, check your Slack!
Hazaah!
I sucked hard like a Ukranian at the end of her visa stay.
Made a hell of a run to take down GTD and Don T though, props.
