Welcome back one and all to another week of the professional football that is oriented around cities rather than educational institutions. (feel the need to make that distinction the last few years) Any team can go on a run, sure, but this about the time the wheat starts getting separated from the chaff as it were. Anyway, let’s look at some thingys.
Minutiae:
-Robert Saleh looked towards Mecca, er, Green Bay, and found salvation. He’s part of the coaching braintrust there now and must be feeling good. Yes, ownership there might still be MAGA idiots but they don’t have a say in the running of the team.
-Icarus Be Damned!: IR is now the limit for Skyy Moore.
-Almost Perfect: Goff is only the 4th qb to attain a passer rating of 140 or above in three straight games. The others? One is Qaron, the next is Roger Staubach and the last one to do it was Brenda Warner’s meal ticket. Remember when Goff was blitzed he would fall apart? Brian Flores went that route last week and Goff responded with 13 of 15 completed passes for 163 yards and a TD.
-Thumbs Down: Bryce Young is back in the saddle before he’s ready because Andy’s fractured. Stream that Denver D, fantasy peoples!
To The Game!
Vikes/Rams:
-Teams that play the Lions are 0-4 the week after. Good luck, Minny!
-Both Nacua and Kupp might be back but they may also be on pitch counts.
-There’s trade talk involving both these QB’s. What say they trade unis at the half and the whole nation can make a comparison?
-So if the Rams lose here do they become sellers at the trade deadline?
-Jefferson hasn’t been moving on up past the 100 yard receiving mark since week 2.
-Under McVay the Rams are an Andy-ish 6-2 on Thursday nights.
-Darnold, drafted in 2018 has only played one game in Cali as a pro. How is that possible?
Give me your best.
