Here’s a guide to some museums in USA.

Museum Of Bad Arts
Location: Dedham, MA
MOBA opened in 1993 in someone’s basement. It has since relocated to the Dedham Community Theater, in a room just outside the men’s room. Most pieces are from thrift stores or were found in the garbage.
Must See: “Sunday on the Pot with George” A painting in pointillist portraying a heavy man in only his underpants on the toilet. One review states “the single most memorable artistic experience in my life – a bit like my recent bout with the shingles.”

Barbed Wire Museum
Location: La Cross, KS
Barbed wire is big in US history because it effectively ended the open range era. This museum exists because there’s many types of barbed wire. This museum has 18 inch lengths of over 1,000 type of barbed wire.
Must See: A real bird’s nest made from barbed wire. The nest weighs 72 pounds. Also, there’s a piece of the barbed wire from atop the Berlin Wall.

Spam Museum
Location: Austin, MN
The museum is located next to the facility were the Hormel Corporation makes Spam. The museum has a giant Spamburger sandwich (with its own 17 foot spatula), a “Wall of Spam” made up of 3,390 cans. You can also simulate working on the Spam production line.
Must See: The talking wax figurine of founder George Hormel.

Future Birthplace Of Captain Kirk
Location: Riverside, IA
Not just a building, the entire tire is a museum to the future Captain who will be born here on March 22, 2233. The town first tried to build a statue of Shatner’s Captain Kirk but abandoned that idea when Paramount Pictures wanted a $40k licensing fee. Instead, they put up the U.S.S. Riverside which looks similar to the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Must See: The annual Kirk Birthday Celebration in March. You can purchase a vial of Kirk Dirt for $3. This is the dirt from future Kirk’s birth site.
