Replica monuments. Why see the real thing when you can see a replica somewhere else?

Status of Liberty
The replica is in Paris, France on Isle de Grenelle in the Seine River. Americans built a 35 foot replica a few years after France delivered the original to the US. Later the Boy Scouts of America donated 200 eight foot tall replicas to cities around the USA.

Great Wall of China
The replica is in Kissimmee, Florida as part of Florida Splendid China Theme Park. The replica is half mile long and built with 6.5 million bricks, while the original is 4,163 miles long and contains many more bricks.

Leaning Tower of Pisa
The replica is in Niles, Illinois. The replica is half the size of the original at 94 feet, and was engineered to tilt at the exact same angle as the Pisa tower.

Hollywood Sign
The replica is Palermo, Italy. Unlike most replicas, this one is larger than the original with 75 foot high letters and spanning 557 feet across while the original is only 450 feet across. The sign is situated on Bellolampo Hill overlooking the city’s garbage dump.

Easter Island Statues
The replicas are in Hunt, Texas. These replicas are the exact same size as the originals as well. As a bonus, there’s also a replica of Stonehenge in the same space.

Washington Monument
The replica is in Pope’s Creek, Virginia, less than an hour from the original. The replica is only 56 feet tall though, far less than the 555 feet height of the original.

Eiffel Tower
The replica is in Paris, Texas. The town erected the 55 foot tall replica in honor of its French namesake. When Paris, Tennessee officials learned of it, they also built their own replica, but 5 feet taller. This went back and forth a couple times then ended when Texas topped theirs with a red cowboy hat. Of course, the more famous replica is in Las Vegas and dwarfs those two at 540 feet tall.
