So, “The Walking Dead” returns tonight.

I haven’t given up, but I’m not exactly paying close attention anymore. The highs & lows of the last couple of seasons hasn’t given much hope that they will be righting the ship.

Still, if the concept that each season is about 20 comics in length, there should be some incidents that could turn the series around, raising it above “hate-watch”. They better have something good in the first episode, because it’ll set the tone for the rest of the season.

It’s a long weekend in BC, so I get to enjoy some beers while doing this.

Tonight’s TV observations:

– Bruno Mars killed his Prince cover. The Time were The Time. Chance the Rapper was a surprise. The rest of the show was “meh”.

– Walking Dead was not bad. Not the fireworks factory (as referenced below), but they won’t get there until next season. These next 7 episodes are setting the table for Season 8.

– Ice Liouns beat the Ice Bills! Woo-hoo!

You thought ahead. I wasted my 3 elective PE classes on Tennis 1 and 2, then softball (which was admittedly the most fun I had at NC State, and also where I finally learned a batting stroke that worked for me – aim for the pitcher’s head, line drive single to center/right-center every time). Yoga never crossed my mind, and I could kick myself. New wave ladyfolk have always been where it’s at (and it was all new wave-ish in yoga bback in the early 90s).
