I don’t really have anything to add. There’s no “NFL Notes” today. I put this post together in spurts over the weekend, because it’s a holiday and I didn’t feel like putting in much effort, like Mark Sanchez. I did put more effort into crushing beers, like Matt Leinart.
But I will point out that tomorrow, August 8, ESPNU will become “the Ocho” for a day, and broadcasting sports rarely seen on American TV and only mentioned in groundbreaking places like DFO’s “This Week In Violence” posts by The Maestro.

I’M NOT READY FOR A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!
I woke up at 2 am after getting a nice 2 hours of sleep, figured taking a bunch of benedryl and a couple shots would get me back to sleep. It is now 6 am. I think I should just go mow my lawn. I would think it was rude but the construction equipment has been out there for an hour now.
I’m not sure what the ordinance is where you are, but most places it’s 7 a.m. If they are in violation, document it. In general the police are responsible for enforcing it, but if they are unresponsive, take it up with your representative. Chances are they will be in violation of the terms of their contract, which means the city can start fining them.
It is actually 9 am here.I know it because I sat in on city council meetings all my childhood. Doesn’t matter. Cops threatened my mom when she called in someone with an illegal fire pit, burning random shit and being loud at random times. Never once checked them, told her she would go to jail if she called again. And I have mentioned she ran the government here for forever.
Also the police in our town would never make a home visit. They patrol the bars and nothing else. They told the council it is the most profitable place.
Just got in after drinking 2 bottles of white wine. I have to go to get ready for work in 5 hours and I cant call in sick. Tomorrow should be fun. I might just sleep on the coach tonight because I don’t think I can get up at the moment. Fun
So, I may be rather inebriated, but I’ve been watching “The Ocho” for 5 minutes, and all that happened was random shots of a frolf course as the crew poorly and obviously sound checked in the background.
I can’t tell if it’s hilarious how seriously they seem to be taking it, or really, really sad.

I just finished RTD’s Raiders preview. With that many big black bears, I’d hope that at least one of them is able to cleanly take off Brady’s head given the chance.
