Boxing Day Open Lesser Footy Thread

Rejoice, for the Merry Brits are bringing the sport lumber today!

NBCSN has a quardruple-header, starting with Fulham/Wolves (NOW, nil-nil as the second half gets under way).  This is followed by a terrible Bardodes at Redshit fixture (10:00), then two pretty decent ones – Brighton/Arsenal (noon), and Chelsea/Watford (2:30).

Of course 10:00 (3p local time) is the standard Boxing Day kickoff, so there will be tons on NBC Gold – led, TOTES unbiasedly – by Everton hosting Burnley.  Burnley have been dreadful early, but steadied the ship the last few weeks.  Whilst my beloved Toffees have been the opposite, dreadful the last several fixtures, culminating in a 2-6 capitulation to Spurs that dropped us to 11th position.  Time to fix that shite!  Man City face off against Leicester, as well.

Boston College (+2.5) v. Boise State (1:30, ESPN – Lesser Cotton Bowl, Dallas, TX)

Yes, the pictured Molly McGrath’s alma mater takes on the Smurf Turfers.  Fresno State already showed that physicality bothers the Famous Potatoes, so I’m taking the ACC side in this’un.  YMMV.

Minnesota (+6) v. Georgia Tech (5:15, ESPN – Abandoned Auto Plant Bowl, Detroit, MI)

Here’s TWO sides I would like to fade, but with Paul Johnson shitcanned/retired – will these veer specialists be uneasy as to their future?  I dunno, but the Bees are awful.  Go with the Gophers and their coach with the weird, painted-on-tie shirts.

TCU (+1) v. California (9:00, ESPN – Diamondbacks MRSA Pool Bowl, Phoenix, AZ)

There may not be fireworks, sure, but I was able to fudge the O/U here to a miniscule 35.5.  Surely these chucklefucks can cover THAT?  Anyway, I have a Thursday morning work meeting, so will probably fuck this one off at the half.
