INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY

A pair of radio professionals prepare for the day’s show. 

DJ 3000: [to himself] WELL, THAT’S KIND OF GRIM.  [to the PRODUCER] HEY YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT GOOGLE’S DOODLE TODAY. [calls it up on his main display]

PRODUCER: Okay…[begins reading aloud]…And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold…

— [door flies open] —

PRODUCER: Oh good, you’re here.  Thanks for taking time out of your schedule to join us.

JOHN ELWAY: …

PRODUCER: I know things must be very busy for you at this time of year.

JOHN ELWAY: …

PRODUCER: [starting to grow uncomfortable] What with the, uh, draft coming up and all.

JOHN ELWAY: …

PRODUCER: So, uh, it says you had, a, uh, co-host that was joining you?

JOHN ELWAY: [flicks his head in the general direction of the restrooms]

PRODUCER: Ah, yes.  Happens to the best of us.  Well, in any event, have a seat, and…

JOHN ELWAY: [wanders into the recording booth but does not sit down]

PRODUCER: …I guess, uh, yeah, go ahead and keep standing if that’s more comfortable for you.

DJ 3000: SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY FOR US TODAY, MR. ELWAY? A LITTLE HALL & OATES?  MAYBE SOME FIONA APPLE?

PRODUCER: [hits mute button on DJ 3000] Sorry about that.  Actually, Mr. Elway’s representation sent over a topic for us to use.  Here it says…pestilence.  Ooh, topical!  Let’s get to it.
