As I mentioned before, I’ve decided that I must take up the mantle that tWBS ran with and help to make this world a better place. I will do this in the one way he couldn’t: By introducing you to good music!

My aim each week has been to showcase a tune or band from the 80s (the best decade EVAR!) that not many people know about or have heard of. In this way, hopefully these artists will find new audiences and the old audiences can reminisce about what they were doing in the 80s.

Tonight, we are showcasing songs by different 80’s artists that have the same exact title. Did everyone get it that’s going to get it? Like the Captain says, “Let’s Go!”

We start off with two classic songs about wanting to play football in Dallas:

Did that band name itself after the famous Cure song? Do I like plump Latin asses?

The start to the Vandals song is classic. I don’t know which I prefer. They’re both excellent.

Moving along, this song features a very young and tall Jenna Elfman. Is she related to Oingo Boingo singer Danny Elfman? Do I like big bouncy boobies?

This is one of my favourite Cure songs ever:

Again, it’s pretty difficult to choose a favourite. They’re both great in their own way and I love both bands.
