I may have told this one before, but I actually do have an Eli story. This is all hearsay, but it’s from a pretty good source.

So the Knicks have this halftime talent show thing. Basically they wheel out some kids, the kids sing or play or do something for 90 seconds, and the crowd cheers for who they liked the most and the crowd favorite wins. So I auditioned and got in, which meant I got to chill out in the VIP room at the Garden, watch the shootaround before the shootaround, walked onto the Garden floor. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. (It happened twice, they asked me back because they did it again for a Liberty game, but that’s not the point.)
So we go out, and they have the families around celebrity row because it’s halftime, so that’s when celebs go to the bathroom or get something to eat so there’s room for the family. As I’m playing a guy in the second row a guy strikes up with my younger sister and asks “Hey, is that your brother?” My sister responds yes. He then asks how the two of us get along, if there are any fights between us, normal sibling stuff, and says “Yeah, I know what you mean. I have an older brother too.”
And then in the 4th quarter on the jumbotron we saw who that guy who talked to my sister was, the Giants’ recent 1st rounder quarterback, Eli Manning.
