• Dust off those Tebow rumours – Josh McDaniels is now the Colts head coach.
  • Based on the premise Andrew Luck is broken forever & not even Jesus can save him.
    • Although, Jacoby Brissett must be happy to see a familiar face in Gravytown.
  • A press conference Wednesday will make it official.
• UPDATE: CANCELLED!
  • The new rumours are that McDaniels has language that will promise him the head coaching job if/when Belichick quits/is forced out.
    • Belichick’s contract runs through 2018.

• Good news: DeShaun Watson ran for the first time on Monday in his rehab from knee surgery.
  • It was on a treadmill, and the article throws out RGIII warnings, but it seems like a positive step for a kid who lit it up last year.

• Bad news: Ryan Shazier isn’t able to walk on his own (yet)
  • This counters Adam Schefter claiming Shazier has a regular walking routine.
  • You kinda hafta believe the player over the rumourmonger.

• According to NFL Network, “a perfect storm of issues” contributed to Malcolm Butler not playing Sunday.
  • Among them:
    • He was sick & missed Opening Night
    • A week of bad practices
    • An unspecified violation of team rules (curfew?)
    • Attitude
  • It’ll likely be up to Butler to spill the beans, but not until he knows what 2018 holds for him & where he’ll be playing – lest he get Kaep’d.
    • Because it would be like Grumblelord to fuck the kid over if he speaks out of turn about discipline.

• A total of 326 players have been invited to the scouting combine February 27 through March 5.
  • Among that number are 30 RBs & 19 QBs
    • Not all invitees are expected to attend.
  • They better name-tag the janitors, or the Browns might try to draft them.

• This slid under the radar last week, but FOX paid $550 million/year for the Thursday Night broadcasts through 2022.
  •  It amounts to 11 games between Weeks 4 and 15 (excluding Thanksgiving Night), or $50 million per week.
    • Up from the $45 million CBS & NBC paid.
  • One key to the deal: FOX doesn’t have to use their #1 team for the game, so no Joe & Troy on Thursdays.
    • I know we’re all crushed.

Finally, it doesn’t seem big enough to garner an investigation, but prop-bet site TopBet.eu lost $41,000 on Timberlake’s choice of Prince song.

• Two individuals places multiple bets against declining odds on “I Would Die 4 U” being the Prince song covered.
  • Starting Thursday, the odds went from 50-1 to 25-1, then 18-1, then 10-1, then 8-1 before closing at 5-2. The odds dropped with each bet placed by the same people.
• Looking at multiple sites, it appears that “Let’s Go Crazy” was the favourite.
