While with friends tonight, they brought up the topic about ghosts/spirits. This led me to bring up an interesting point that ghost believers cannot seem to answer:
How come whenever people see ghosts, the ghosts are usually just standing there, doing nothing? More importantly, why has nobody ever seen two or more ghosts banging?
There was an awkward silence after that. But I think I made my point.

When you said “orange is the new black” I’d hoped you were talking about how aggressively prosecutors were going to pursue charges.
I wish. Sadly, when I say OITNB it, I mean, ruin an otherwise good episode (s) just for forced drama that slows down the plot and makes me roll my eyes to the back of my head.
It boggles my mind when they do it because the real story of GLOW is incredible and the behind the scenes stuff was banana cakes with an extra serving of nuts.
It’s every bit as good.
I was late too season 1 and faltered after about 5 episodes but GLOW was mentioned by someone one night while watching a band, eating pizza and drinking beer at a little bar and my oldest sister said I should stick with the show. She was right; Glad I did.
I was productive today – I fixed the knob on the back door (WD40 but we’ll tell the Mrs is was more complicated) and replaced the dog door with a bigger one which meant I got to bust out the saw for…..MOAR POWER!
Caught the 30+ minute finale of the fireworks festival here yesterday. It was insane, loud, probably extremely PTSD-inducing, and impressive even to someone as cynical and jaded as myself. Anyway, they did the bad thing where they played music along with the fireworks, starting with the abysmal Lee Greenwood “God Bless the USA” song, and within like 10 minutes they just started throwing any song that referred to the country, such as hugely pro-America songs like “Born in the USA” and “American Woman”. So I would basically get distracted for 5 minutes at a time at how inept the people choosing these songs are. It was all worth it for the 2 hours it took me to get 6 miles to my house.
I don’t know. “American Idiot” seems both ironically honest and strangely poetic for today’s world.
