Your Matchday 4, Day 2 Champions League Open Thread

With all the posting activity yesterday,  we didn’t have an open thread for the Tuesday games.

HOWEVAH, we are fixing that today!!

First off,  let’s take a look at what happened yesterday:

I can tell you that the Inter-Barça game was pretty fun to watch in the office on my phone and,  if you get a chance,  you should watch a highlight of Schalke’s first goal against Galatasaray. Actually,  you can find it here:

The big surprise of the day was Liverpool and Monaco suffering big losses on the road and home, respectively. Do we have any such surprises on tap for today?

Here is the schedule:

By the time this posts,  we’ll be at halftime of the Young Boys’ visit to sunny and sexy Valencia.  We shall see if DFO’s adopted team can be the top for once in the Champions League.

The Match of the Day, undoubtedly,  is the Man U – Juventus match.  I posted this last night,  but it’s worth sharing again:

That’s a great article talking about what’s happening at Manchester United with José Mourinho.

He’s still in charge and it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting the sack like Real Madrid did to Lopetegui.

Today’s game marks the first Champions League match for Real since the coaching change and it will be interesting to see how well they play,  specially on the road.

As I noted before,  the best way to watch is through the Univision Deportes app.

Enjoy the games!

Balls somehow lost his bio and didn't realize it. He's now scrambling to write something clever and failing. He likes butts, boobs, most things that start with the letter B, and writing in the Second Person. Geelong, Toluca, Barcelona, and Steelers, in that order.

I liked that Mourinho article. That Guardiola’s the cause of his grief is funny. Pep called him “el puto amo” in press conferences. I think after that Barça meltdown where they lost the Liga and were knocked out of the Champions in, like, two weeks in March years ago. Mou got under Guardiola’s skin, but Pep has owned him in games.

Looks like Young Boys will have to come from behind if they want the future meeting with the Old Lady to mean anything.
