NFL Nuggets: kind of quiet today

  • As expected, Antonio Brown has filed a second grievance with the NFL over his helmet.
    • He is claiming he should get the same one-year grace period as Tom Brady, and that he was arbitrarily denied.
      • Brady’s grace period was last year, and he now has to wear an approved helmet.
    • The Sporting News has a pretty definitive breakdown of the whole issue, if you are so inclined.

Neal just can’t play anymore. I can’t blame him. He’s been doing literal god-like things on a drum set for 50 years. Alex and Geddy still want to play and tour. They’ll have their own respective solo, maybe together, tours.

Someone needs to get this woman to sign on the line that is dotted, or in camp for at least a tryout. That wasn’t a line drive, that had some hangtime. If she can do that 80% from 50+ and at least 90% from inside 50, she can easily get paid one or two million dollars to placekick a few balls, kickoff a few times and break the gender barrier.

So I bought some ground turkey on Friday and finally made it into burgers today. They taste a little gamey but I haven’t puked it up yet and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let 3 lbs worth of turkey at $1.66/lb go to waste.
