I am disappointed that the Cats lost, but the fact they made it all the way to a Preliminary Final after such personnel turnover is a tremendous achievement. Chris Scott is the Australian Mike Tomlin except better. His teams have reached finals 12 out of his 14 seasons, Preliminary Finals 6 out of 14, Grand Finals 3 times and he’s won 2 Premierships.

It was a great effort by Brisbane to come back and win the game. The Sydney-Brisbane final will be the first since 2006 that doesn’t feature a team from Victoria. It will be a great game!

The AFLW has another jam-packed compressed schedule of games that has already started. There won’t be much time to rest, so it will be interesting how the coaches manage their players to avoid injury.

Speaking of, Collingwood did not have a good week. Two losses added to the misery of injury woes. They are dead last and may not win a game.

Congratulations to Son Of Spam for winning this year’s AFL Tipping Competition! By going with my heart and picking Geelong in the Preliminary Final, I gave up any chance to catch him. I should have gone for the emotional hedge, as I usually do.

If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFLW game, including replays. Game times are similar to AFL game times though they seem to have more day games, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch
