Golf Update
I played another tournament today. This one had a July 4th theme and we got to pick our own tees as long as we selected 6 blue, 6 white, and 6 red. There was quite a bit strategy involved in figuring out what combination would give me the best chance at scoring well. I decided to use the blues to make the Par 5s and the short Part 4s & 3s longer (as it doesn’t really matter), the reds to make the long Par 3s and Par 4s shorter, and take my chances with the rest of the holes.

Club World Cup Update
Yesterday and today, the four quarterfinals were played. Fluminense beat Al Hilal 2-1 in a very hard-fought game. The Saudis can be proud of their team. Chelsea beat the other Brazilian team left, Palmeiras, by a score of 2-1.
The semifinals will start next Tuesday and will feature Fluminense v Chelsea and the winners of this morning’s games playing each other. The Grand Final is next Sunday.

Other Updates
I did my weigh in for the contest last Wednesday and I clocked on at 178 pounds with 25.4% body fat. My goal is to get to 20.4% body fat by October. One of my buddies wants to lose 20 pounds and the other wants to lose 17. I think I’ve got this.
Last week, the Steelers decided they were done with Minka as their captain and as part of the team. They traded him for Jonnu Smith and Jalen Ramsey. Some draft picks were also involved. At the very least, they will get sound financial advice!
I am going to play golf twice again next weekend with a tournament on Saturday and a regular game on Sunday. I’m really looking forward to the Saturday tourney as this is the one where we only use 4 clubs. That is a LOT of fun to play!
In other news, I am doing well with my workout program. Part of it will include an ice bath after doing sprints. That should be interesting….

Oh, so I got randomly attacked by a swarm of bees while walking the dog today. They followed me for a good hundred yards. I got stung just twice, I think. I don’t know what the fuck they were on about, but fuck them. The good news is that they mostly left the Dr. Mrs. and our dog alone.
