Let’s do this!
I guess I should keep the nuggies north of the 49th parallel-centric huh?
The NHL has washed its hands of The Mike Babcock Affair and he’s free to bully the younger players on the Edmonton Oilers roster. There are no words.
Good News For Women’s Pro Hockey:
The Ottawa Charge are going to play in the Sens facility next year. Their aging downtown arena was undergoing a de-renovation that would have reduced capacity from 8500 to 5700 seats, effectively killing the franchise. We Canadians don’t tend to over-react much but when a sports team is seen to be manoevered into moving or being bank-ruptured the dander starts flying. You see, the Charge’s playoff tilts drew an average of 13,000 fans and they also came within 1,000 folks of selling out the 18,500 Sens facility-interest is very high so that news was a bummer. Enough shouty voices were heard and now the Charge will be playing at the Canadian Tire Center. Sometimes the good guys/women win!
To Business:
Canada goes at it hammers, tongs and snowshoes vs the Qatarians. (is it pronounced ‘Katter’ or ‘Kutar’? let me know in the comments) Will we see Davies? He’s on the bench. Southhampdon’s Cyle Larin-the goal-scorer in the first game-has leveled up to starter.
Most Importantly! Soccer goddess Beckie (aka Janis Solis) I recently learned was wed, without consulting my feelings on the matter. I’d obviously have given her the go-ahead but these feelings sting.
On To Polite Victory!
