It’s a holiday – Labour Day – in Canada. Not sure what it is in the US, or if it’s nationwide, but there is a definite calm before the storm on Tuesday. Either way, it’s a pretty light day.

NFL Notes:

  • JJ Watt has been cleared to begin practice. I’m also guessing he changed handjob providers in the interim.
  • Justin Forsett was released by the Ravens Saturday.
  • signings of note:
    • As reported and mocked, Sam Bradford was traded to the Vikings for a first round pick in 2017 and a 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounder in 2018 (based on record).
    • The Cowboys signed Mark Sanchez. I guess Kyle Orton didn’t return their calls.
    • Devin Hester signed with the Ravens.

Tonight’s sports:

  • U.S. Open Tennis: Round-of-16 play – 7:00 | ESPN2
  • College Football: Mississippi vs. Florida State – 8:00 | ESPN
  • WWE RAW – 8:00 | USA

It’s the first day of school tomorrow, so I’m back to work at my alternative program. Until then – I’M DRINKING / DO NOT DISTURB!

Sitting here, at wifey’s work (read: hospital) in one of the staff’s sleep rooms, booze is very much gone, baby and wifey are asleep, and I managed to work myself through another panic attack. I’ll say this: been a weird night, but, season two of Narcos has been fucking awesome.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but, you were in the service, and have dealt with panic attacks, too? I hate to dredge up shitty memories, but, maybe you and I have mutual experiences with the same turdburgers. For me, having someone to relate to has always been a big help. I realize that that is a personal thing, and if I’m delving too deep or into bad territory, just say so.

At this point I am really getting paranoid my financial aid is not gonna go through so I am going in tomorrow early (7:30ish) to try to find someone in the Starbucks looking place they turned the enrollment office into to get confirmation either way. I do have some whiskey open though and everyone knows once it is opened it goes bad so I am gonna have to power through a couple more shots to finish it off before bed.
