Finally, every team has played a game! Unfortunately, the bye weeks continue next week. It’s really annoying because it is difficult to compare teams. Granted, it’s the beginning of the season, so it would be difficult to do that anyway, but still that’s what writers are supposed to do. Oh well. Let’s go!

Notes and Comments
I think you can tell I’m very lazy and I try to take full advantage of the “Clone” function while it exists. This is why you see music videos by Australian bands and assorted other fun fact videos in the post. Fun fact #1: The Tasmania Devils won their first ever NFL game! Highlights are above. The moral of the story is this: Daddy doesn’t want to have to delete and then add back in videos. Daddy is lazy.
Adelaide v Western was your game of the week and boy did it deliver! Western is looking REALLY good. The only problem is that they started this way last year and then faded down the stretch. How will this affect the Leafs’ playoff chances?
The GWS Giants, on the other hand, lost to St. Kilda, of all teams, and are still not healthy. This loss was costly as it seemed they should have been able to win despite not being at full strength.
Fremantle and Port Adelaide both rebounded nicely from losses last weekend. They both scored three figures while holding their opponents to 70 points. I do fully expect both of them to contend this season.
Finally, the surprise of last week that was North Melbourne has come back down to earth. It was a hard fall as they lost to West Coast, which was the only team worse than them last year. Maybe they haven’t improved THAT much.
It was a great week for Yeah Right in the AFL Tipping Competition as he got the most picks correct and is only one point behind the leaders. Sharkbait and Spam continue to set the place just like they did last year. Don’t forget to put the tips in!
If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.
If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.
See you next week!
