Is this an excuse to post the above header image?

Yes.  Yes it is.

As I write this,  the last two matches of the Confederations Cup Group A have wrapped up.  Portugal has easily beaten New Zealand 4-0 and Mexico has beaten the hosts Russia 2-1 which means that we await tomorrow’s results to see who takes on Germany and who takes on Chile.

Right now,  Portugal is #1 in Group A and will play the #2 of Group B. Mexico will play the #1.

What else is going on today?

NASCAR is in Sonoma this weekend! That means they actually turn RIGHT this weekend!
