So in the game of hockey, there are these things call penalties. When a team is assessed one of the penalties, one of their players is required to to sit in a “penalty box” for 2 minutes. During this time, the penalized player’s team must play with one less man. This is referred to colloquially as a “power play”.

Ergo, Toronto got a “fucking power play” because of a penalty on a Chicago player.
