Sorry for the stark departure from cheerleading, but Holy Mother of Fuck, Mister “just a pickin’ and a grimacin’” won 3 matches in 5 days to improbably go from last side in to one of the final 16.  That earns a proper DFO tribute.

#5(MW) Clemson (+4.5, +180) v. #1(MW) Kansas (7:07, CBS)

I bet this one out of a mixture of loyalty and hope.  Clemson deserves this one, consarnit.  And they most certainly can beat Kansas, as the line indicates (I certainly wish it offered MOAR profit potential).  This just goes against decades of history and hoopsball logic/precedent.  But ask Auburn whether Son of Clem is peaking at the right time.

#5(E) West By God Virginia (+5.5, +210) v. #1(E) Villanova (7:27, TBS)

These two sides are coming into this clash shit hot, and it’s classic offense v. defense.  Nova gets most of their points outside the paint, which limits the Cousinfuckers’ shot-blocking advantage somewhat (and likely will be the difference in this contest).  Tip time is only 20 minutes offset instead of 30 like last night.  Your guess is as good as mine.

#11(MW) Syracuse (+11.5, +575) v. #2(MW) Duke (9:37, CBS)

I am sure this will be the Jim Nantz region.  KU and Duke?  He will masturbate over that like it’s the Masters or a Brooks Brothers riot.  L’Orange was not competitive with les Devils during the regular season (thus the line, that was a bet Hippo lost, too – surprise, surprise) but as we know, Madness Cuse is a whole ‘nother animal.  Covered in Boeheim Boogers.

#3(E) Texas Tech (+1.5, +105) v. #2(E) Purdue (9:57, TBS)

With Purdue’s main ubergruppenfuhrer at maybe 60%, Guns Up!! have a real chance.  Or maybe I am just buying into them based on their performance against a pretty mediocre Florida squadron.  I dunno, just want something to watch that ain’t CBS’ offering of lukewarm jism.  Winner gets flattened on Sunday, even if the opponent is unexpectedly led by The King of Track Suits.
