    • The Seahawks were willing to part with Earl Thomas.
      • Dallas just wouldn’t pony up the picks.
    • The Patriots were looking into Baker Mayfield at #2 if the Browns didn’t take him.
      • It seems, based on reading between the lines at PFT, that the Patriots were looking to both find Brady’s potential replacement and fuck over the Jets, who really had their heart set on Mayfield.
  • The Jets will have joint practices with the [Redacteds] this summer.
    • In advance of their preseason game against each other on August 16.

Just trying to think of a better SS than those two, and I’m coming up empty. Vizquel was great, but not quite. Old school: Concepcion was awesome, but I doubt he had the same athleticism. Probably missing a few guys, but Ozzie and Andrelton are just witches.

Is this the Oakland Coliseum? I saw a bunch of Dead shows there. They were always General Admission, so no one was ever in a hurry to get inside. Before the show, the whole floor to the rear of the soundboard was virtually empty, so they’d set up a volleyball net and have different states square off against each other. The sound guy had a microphone & he’d just say “Georgia and Wisconsin!!” and people from those states would come scrambling down from the seats to get in the game, and we’d have fun watching. Hippies playing sports is some funny shit.

No, but when I was stationed in Monterey, the Gulf War broke out, and as a thank-you to the military, San Francisco Giant games were on the house (they stunk) and occasional As games were free, since they were whooping ass at the time. So, I caught about 1/2 dozen Giants games and one As game that spring/summer. Giant games at Candlestick when they weren’t good was a dark, dark place. Glad I went, though.

I’ve been really enjoying the NHL hockey games I’ve been watching, however . . .

Why are they never on the same channel? Why did they have two games and scheduled them simultaneously? How can I watch them if I never can find them? Also, Daniel Craig is kind of a boring James Bond, and the photography in the old movies is better. Hey I watched Goldfinger the other night and I couldn’t believe how much Trump resembles Goldfinger. It’s scary how much. Goldfinger is President of the U.S. right now. Dr. No never could have won middle America because of the whole half-Asian thing and Jaws was just a henchman like Oddjob and except for Blofeld I don’t really know any other Bond villains. Hell I think I’m gonna watch Goldfinger again. Casino Royale is on right now and not the sorta funny one with Woody Allen and Orson Welles and I believe it had four directors and Peter Sellers went nuts during the filming and drives off in a Formula-1 racer and he never came back and it’s in the movie and his character just leaves, no, this is the boring Casino Royale with Mister Excitement Daniel Craig who only has one single expression on his face at all times. Sorry nope can’t take it serious nooooooo. Time for another bong hit thank you very much.
