First off, just so SonOfSpam  doesn’t “Dude” me incessantly tonight (he probably will anyway)…Full Disclosure….

I was not a fan of The Spice Girls’ music.  Of course for a while there, one couldn’t help but be exposed to it regardless of whether they wanted to be or not.  So I am familiar with it.  Well at least some of it.

But Fuller Disclosure….

I did always have thing for Emma Bunton…AKA “Baby Spice”.  And frankly, I still do.  My thing  still likes her a lot.

It’s her week this week.

The NHL doesn’t cut us any breaks. Bettman doesn’t give a shit about any Canadian team.

But yeah, it’s not like getting trounced by Tampa in the first round is an appealing prospect. Plus the supposedly harsh but actually wimpy Montreal media is already praising our idiot GM just because the team doesn’t suck as badly as we expected after he fucked it up.

Still, when push comes to shove I can never actually root for my team to lose/be eliminated.

Eh. I hate the Leafs, but no way Bettman wasn’t hoping that the Coyotes would get the chance to draft local boy Matthews.

And it’s a crime that the Oilers have gotten to waste so many high picks, but that was just dumb luck.

Since we like to refer to other sprots in terms of the nfl, I always asumed the Leafos would be the Cowboys of the NHL, but then who are the Canadians? Packers or Bears perhaps;

I’ve referred to them here as the Ice Alouettes, but yeah, Bears is probably the better comparison — used to be dominant, but lately just manage to flirt briefly with competence before fucking it up.

Which is why I don’t mind still being hated — nobody outside of division rivals really hates the Bears any more, they’re not relevant enough.

Copy the video url and then paste it into the Gfycat create form to make sure it converts the full video or whatever. Depends on how creative you are planning to get.

When I worked at Blockbuster back in the glorious 90s, there was a female manager who was pretty cool (eventually married my best friend actually) who would let us shut down the horrible horrible advertisement tape pretty early. The downside is she got first pick on movies. I saw Romy and Michele’s high School reunion, clueless and spice world a lot. Like a lot a lot. Not so much because she loved them but because those were reasonably PGish and quick to grab when she didn’t want to think too much.

And in all honesty, those weren’t really the worst movies in the world she could have picked
