It’s that shitty part of June, where the weather has one last bad mood to get rid of before the summer can truly begin. Luckily, in BC our vaccination numbers are 75% at first dose, so we are well on the way to hopefully being able to leave the house by August.

The beautiful part about the Euros, as least for us shut-ins on the Best Coast, is that you can start a sports-watching day right when you wake up. There’s always going to be something on. Starting at 8:45am, there are games every two hours right through until 5:00pm. Then the Copa starts. Given the lovely Juneuary weather,

there’s absolutely no incentive to go out & do anything of substance.
Hopefully there aren’t more emergency stoppages in the matches; the one this morning was quite enough, thank you. A few people in the morning thread talked about Hank Gathers flashbacks. I remember watching Clint Malarchuk almost bleed to death. Seeing something like that sticks with you.
I could have used some Moose gifs as a distraction, but I guess we’ve turned him away.
